Cold Fill... Hey Austin Although hot water is connected to ours its set to only use cold, the reason being its only designed for hot water to a maximum of 60C and ours can be much hotter, sometimes 80c+ I have looked into increasing the wash time, but the ammount of laundry we get its not...

Off topic but.... Hey Austin Your Miele is converted to 13A right? Any chance you can tell me how long a cottons universal with 2 rinses and cold fill takes as Im curious to know compared with our 25A version at work. A Universal 40 with 2 rinses is 56 mins on that :). Seamus

Warranty...... Besides, if Miele is supposed to be so great, why the short warranty? If the machines are supposed to last 20 years, why not have a 10 year warranty? They do in the UK- my service certificate expires on 13th April 2022. Also my W5740 was only £850 ($1300 odd) Seamus

According to my Miele instructions..... As long as a good quality detergent and regular hot washes are used they are not necessary. Also their washer instructions state descaling shouldnt be necessary if the correct dose of detergent is used! Seamus

£50? Personally Id say thats a reasonable figure- its FAR better built than a current Indesit Company dryer and will probably still be around long after a newer one has died! Seamus
