My new E2L Maytag Wringer with pump

Great find indeed! I've had my E2LP for almost 13 years, and I thought I had got a great deal at $100 ! I love hearing about these "saves", especially if there's a bit of a background story to it. Mine came from an elderly lady in Tacoma, Washington, who bought it new in 1977. She wanted it to...

Save a 1940s Maytag Model 32 from the scrapper! Winnipeg, MB.

Hello fellow wringer washer fans! Just saw this posting - this Model 32 looks to be in great condition. Seller states that it "smokes" when plugged in --- probably just the centrifugal switch is stuck on the motor. Any takers in southern Manitoba, or northern Minnesota...

Interesting article about "Made in America" ...

Hello again everyone, Happened across this online article about the "good ol' days" of quality "Made in the U.S.A" goods. Of course, the overriding message of the article could also apply to the days of "Made in Canada", "Made in Great Britain", etc. Anyway, interesting (but not surprising!)...

1948 Sears Christmas catalog - wringer washer and Kenmore Jr.

Here's a page from the catalog showing the deluxe Kenmore wringer washer AND the very cool little Kenmore Jr. (that at least a couple of members include in their collections!) As some of you may recall, I had this wringer washer, minus the timer.

What hose do I need for a Maytag e2l wringer Washer

Hey "Slim Jim", The hoses do occasionally appear online on various auction sites, but they're usually fairly expensive. It is possible to make your own, but you will need to detach the end nozzle. There is an expansion ring inside that is impossible to remove without destroying it. So once...

    Speed queen super twin

Made in America... @cfz2882 These machines were made in Ripon, Wisconsin, and Hespeler, Ontario, under a licensing agreement with Servis UK. The model is based upon the U.K. model, with the exception that in North America, there was no heating element. Later models (like mine) had only two...

    1971 Maytag Porta-Washer M0D. A50

Great find! I remember as a child of about 10 years old, seeing these in a department store, and REALLY wanting one! It would have been an expensive "toy", and my parents wouldn't buy it for me, of course. Years later, I bought a second-hand Hoover AND a Simplicity/Speed Queen Super-Twin. I...
