Mine lasted for 17 years without a single repair. It cleaned anything we put in it and had a decent spin speed. When it developed the spin howl, it was deemed too costly to justify repair.

I made my own base insulation using rigid foam insulation from Lowes. It's easily cut to whatever shape you need using a box blade. I used what was left of the insulation and glued it to the inside of the cabinet for more sound deadening.

Your work always amazes me. I have watched your video of the '69 Hotpoint washer dozens of times and I'm sure I will this one as well. Kudos on a job well done!

For those of you in the know, what are your opinions of this dishwasher. I know it is not one of the higher end models and customer reviews are mixed. Sorry, I don't have a picture to post.

Any way you could post a picture of the dial on this dryer? I have a Hotpoint dryer with timer issues, having trouble finding a replacement timer or timer motor.

Mine made it 17 years with never a repair. It suffered the lower bearing issue, just too expensive to repair. It was a good performer albeit noisy and flimsy. Matching dryer is still going strong

I had and sold one too. I looked for a matching dryer so I could sell it as a set, people looked at me like I was crazy when I described the black control panel! Never found the matching dryer, it's a very nice washer, though.
