I read that using the heat dry cycle is not good for the machine. See link. What do you guys think of this article ? I never use it myself, on my Maytag. I always crack the door open once the cycle is over. But I don't use plastic dishes or containers. So it works fine for me...

Both wash arms are made of stainless steel. They both wash at the same time from the videos I’ve seen on YouTube. They don’t alternate like other brands.

50 foot dash to the breaker panel... sounds scary... These perforated drums remind me of when I used to go to the laundromat. Those huge dryers, that you would feed with quarters, and you could stick two wash loads in one dryer.

Hopefully you will get 30 years of use out of it. I would be afraid of those exposed heating elements. They look like they could broil anything too close to them.

After a second time that the Fisher Paykel drawers need servicing in 1 year and half, I decided not to get them fixed. And I got this new Maytag dishwasher to replace them. So far, I’ve done three loads and everything is sparkling clean. Using the Auto cycle, with air dry. Very easy...

How well did it wash the glasses and cups in the top rack?

The 30 minute wash on my Bosch, in my previous house, was pretty good. It cleaned very well, but it left everything pretty wet. I think the last rinse was not a heated rinse, so the dishes didn't dry well. But it would blast off the dirt of every plates, and flatware.
