It's fine. She looks a bit rough. I doubt the dial glass can be replaced. Maybe with Lexan. Does it work at all? If so, and the sound is scratchy when adjusting the volume or tone, the pot's may just need a good cleaning with Deoxit spray. Otherwise, may need some new parts. Capacitors...

IH Visions Induction Compatible Vitro-Ceramic Cookware

I have some Princess House vitto ceramic white with clamp on handles. I asked the home party presenter what it was made of. Like the tiles in the space shuttle."

Didn't Sharp make TVs for Sears after it was no longer Motorola, or another Chicago maker? Stereos too?

    Samsung 240 volt Vented Combo!

I thought our Philips 37 inch LED Smart tv was getting weak. We watch a lot of old reruns on Hulu. I watched the Tigers and the Arizona game the other day and I couldn't believe how vivid and sharp it still is. It's not the coolest running set either. Heat comes out of the top vents. We got it...

Central Vacuum Cleaner Motorized Brush Unit for Carpet

Yes turbomatic, I think I was a bit restrictive about the needed power for a Turbocat. They sold me one initially back in 96 for the Hoover model 567. It couldn't run it once on the carpet. I think it's water lift was 105" and cfm 130. Even the smallest Beam was stronger. Since I had a great...

    Ever try Dubai Chocolate?

Yes if you like pistachio butter and chocolate with a phylo type of shredded pastry. It's not difficult to make. The dough is called knaffa. It's cut stringy and toasted lightly with butter. Clarified ghee butter is what authentic ethnic style uses. That is easy too. I've even seen very thin...

Central Vacuum Cleaner Motorized Brush Unit for Carpet

You need at least 120" of water lift and over 400 cfm to run a Turbocat. 540 air watts. The black Centech is the old Kenmore design with a nylon beater brush. There is a white model with a steel beater brush roll (begins with a n S) like a Beam Rug master. You can still buy those too. For...

Agreed Matt. Aren't linear tracking cartridge receptacles only P mount? Fremer has an article about setting up a cartridge under hung no over. Said it sounds better on an S arm. I tried it and it does. Especially on the first tracks which have more error. I noticed less silibance on certain lps.

Matt, when I replace the stylus on my Ortofon 2M, it will be the blue. I think I was sent a shibata stylus for my Pickering V 15 micro because it sounds better than when new. I paid $85 for the better elliptical. I bought a Crosley direct drive turntable a few years ago. It was a birthday...

Yes, I do recall the tube testers. when solid state Stereo and TV began to kill the repair trade, an elderly man I know opened a model railroad shop. Digital decoders and controllers hit the hobby, and he already knew what he was doing for customers.

Not my cup of tea. My sister in law has a GE Profile. 2 years old. Motor died 2 months ago. Figures because it does double duty. I don't know if it's vented,

Yes, the Fisher was decent, not great. BSR, 8 track, FM/AM.

The linear tracking makes sense Matt! I had a Technics cassette servo actuated silver deck from the mid 1980's and gifted it to my sister when I got a CD player in 1990. I have tow AT carts. One from 1979, at12-e I believe, and a VM 95-ML. Also a Pickering from 1978 hypereliptical, and the...

Matt, Koss is in Wisconsin. I was lucky to get the reissued Pro 44-A headphones with the mic. mount before they sold out in a limited run. I had a lower model in the late 70's. I have never had a reel-to-reel deck, but I regret selling My 1979 Aiwa wedge cassette deck because it needed new...

Oh no, my other half wanted to pitch my KLH because they were in storage in the basement. I said no way. Cones and voice coils can be replaced or the woofers. Especially if the enclosure is nice and high quality.

Which Pioneer speakers? I've heard several from back in the day. I don't think it was their strong suite, but it all depends on room acoustics and what is driving them. I'm comparing them to Advent, JBL, and Cerwin Vega's from then. Jensen's weren't great either. Dual idler turntables were...
