Company was a Detroit brand when lots of stoves were made in Detroit.  They got absorbed into Welbilt in the mid-50s during the great merging of stove brands/plants.  They had the benefit of some good industrial design which has made them classics.

I think that the 2 rack design on a mid-priced d/w is the better choice...unless you get an expensive one there isn't enough benefit from a truly custom-fit loading pattern and TBH it isn't worth fussing with the 3rd rack for cutlery.  The WP design with the round sprayer for juice glasses etc...
