    Their SQ FL Washer Died!

I can remember this commercial and I remember always being so freaking excited if someone in the family had to get a new appliance... and I always was hoping it would be push buttom... and in 1983, they were already starting the electronic boards on appliances

    Their SQ FL Washer Died!

I wonder what the total cost would have been to the customer who SQ wouldn't help because it was 1 year past warranty? I mean, it may be worth it since the machine itself is built like a tank...but still after that much $$. UGH

    Their SQ FL Washer Died!

I too hate it and that's the part I worry about most in modern appliances... the control board

    Their SQ FL Washer Died!

the algorhithm recommended a video I just saw...it was simply a video of someone showing off their FL SQ washer doing a load of whites...they UPDATED the title of the video saying "UPDATE, SQ Washer dead after 6 years" then they put this in the comments: DISAPPOINTING UPDATE: After only 6...

    LG WM4000HWA coming Wednesday!

Well at the very least it can be turned off/on which ever you chooose... instead of having no choice at all.. I think I would leave it on but choose a cycle that would give the highest longest interim spins... I think towels does that.. I can't remember

    LG WM4000HWA coming Wednesday!

I got it. I keep forgetting Turbo wash is meant to speed things up.... anyway, with turbo wash off, are you saying it doesn't do this at all? The interim spins are faster and longer?

    LG WM4000HWA coming Wednesday!

I mean the spray rinses are only 6 seconds long...and that sound happens before and after the spray rinses have long stopped and the interim spin keeps spinning...until it stops spinning...I'm not understanding why it's not draining all the water until the final spin?

Just got a new Electrolux Laundry Tower...

He knows ALL about vacuums... LOL Nice Lux tower... Electrolux would definitely be a contender for my next FL washer... You just absolutely HAVE to check pockets diligently because they have no drain access door like the LG does... yet, they do on their smaller front loaders...

    LG Washer/Dryer 5 year Update

Hey..... not counting the cracked dispenser housing... and this may or may not work in your case...but believe it or not, it worked for me... YEARS ago, I noticed a dried streak mark of where water had leaked down my duet from the very bottom of the door and just ran down a straight line down...

    LG WM4000HWA coming Wednesday!

Question for anyone who has the LG w turbowash Ok, so there's this weird thing I do not understand about this machine. There's a youtuber that posts different cycles so we can see the process... except he has the AI version of this machine... anyway, once thing I've noticed on the LG's with...

    LG WM4000HWA coming Wednesday!

Yes it's crazy isn't it? I've washed things I would never put in a traditional top loader... such as electric blanket/heating pad, pillows, etc...I even once washed a nice throw rug that probably was NOT supposed to be washed. It still looks pretty new and I've had it forever...I risked ruining...

8 Reasons Using Liquid Detergent Is Better

OK so I'm finally using the Tandil since I used all my other liquid....and surprise, the lines on the cap are also invisible! Same exact color as the cap....so again, I have to use a flashlight only this time I can mark the lines with a magic marker because the color on the cap... anyway...

    LG WM4000HWA coming Wednesday!

Yes that's a GREAT IDEA!! It would be surprising is appliance companies aren't lurking these threads... I don't know though... Not a fan of turbo wash? I'm pretty sure it can be turned off, no? I don't understand how rinsing suffers vs non turbo wash... Me personally, I would never use any...

    LG WM4000HWA coming Wednesday!

@ Ryne - I did 4 loads yesterday and they were all colors or darks...except I had like one white bath towel and several white socks and I normally would't do this, but I sinned and threw the white towel and few socks in with a load of colors...It's like I wanted every stitch of laundry I had to...

    GE GFW655SSV0WW Front-Load Washer & Matching Dryer

Hmmm. I've never been heavy on FS and when I use it which most of the time I don't use it at all, it's very sparingly. I wonder if/when the FS is dispensed perhaps traces of it gets splashed up or something... I don't know. I have pretty diligently taken my dispenser to the kitchen sink and...

    LG WM4000HWA coming Wednesday!

I totally missed this. Dang.. .that was fast!!! Glad it went well. FL washers are quiet...the only real sounds I hear from mine are when it's filling and when it's spinning... that's it.. and most of the time the spins are pretty smooth...but the occasional more rough spin here and there. You...

    GE GFW655SSV0WW Front-Load Washer & Matching Dryer

I wonder what caused mine to develop pink mold instead of black? It's mold free now but only because I cleaned it and dump dispenser water and wipe off the roof of the dispenser housing becasue when I'm done doing laundry, there's tons of water droplets on the roof of the housing just hanging...

    GE GFW655SSV0WW Front-Load Washer & Matching Dryer

I think the microban helps... and it probably does have it... but I think it's a losing battle with the dispenser design and constant moisture unable to dry out... sure, they have fan fresh from the drum itself... but that does absolutely nothing for the dispenser. To be safe, I'd take it out...

    GE Dishwasher filter question

It sounds like you're doing the right thing...scraping, not rinsing.. But I would consider every day HEAVY use... To be honest with you, I wouldn't mind having a dishwasher with a removable filter so I can keep it clean myself... instead of one like I have now that's built in with a food chopper...

    LG WM4000HWA coming Wednesday!

Ryne... same here. standard whirlpool dryer with lint screen on top. 7.0 cubic feet.. Even though your LG is going to be a big 4.5 cubic feet...I would say load the amount of clothes in the LG that you know the dryer can accomodate...that's what I do...Plus, I don't like to pack FL washers...
