Taming a Rollermatic - Custom Deluxe style!

My experience with small items going over the tub in a Unimatic, in 30 years of using Unimatics on a weekly basis it only happened once to me and it was a small cleaning rag, it has never happened to me with socks. I wonder if that has to do with severely overloading the machine? I always...

Old V-Zug Unimatic for sale in Switzerland

Wow what a beautiful machine, I assume this is a top loading H-access washer? Love the little round window in the lid.

    The Almighty Pulsator!

Thanks Jamie! I actually made a set of all turquoise cap and rings for my '57 Control Tower washer (they were originally all light gray as the colored rings didn't come out until 1958), I think a turquoise pulsator to match might be in order!

    The Almighty Pulsator!

So one of my big projects for this year was to recreate the big 1955-1964 Frigidaire 3-Ring agitator Pulsator. Last year as some will remember I created the caps, lint chaser and circulator rings on the agitator so this year is the pulsator. I have one new old stock 5432199 Pulsator left in...

Picture of the day and patent of the day

Wow the Picture of the Day works perfectly Alan, the Patent of the Day however the file is too small and corrupted or so it appears to me. Is there a way to show the entire file directly on that page without having to download it? Update never mind what I said about the Patent, it works just...

Picture of the day and patent of the day

I had about 900 washing machine patents in .pdf files located in the PAT_OF_THE_DAY directory. Every day at midnight central time a new patent file was picked randomly and shown for the day to download.

Site layout/navigating the ‘new’ AW site

I'm finding this link works somewhat similar to our old "Latest Posts" button and it is what I've been using... https://automaticwasher.org/whats-new/ Although for some odd reason that link only works on desktop browsers, it doesn't work on my phone which re-directs me to forums page.

    Vacuumland

Thank you Louis, what you said is exactly correct. Chet, I believe they are using XenForo Forum Software which takes a bit getting used to but I believe will work just fine in the long run once everyone gets used to it. The main thing to remember is this will ensure all of our nearly 1.25...

Hi Dave, I really have no idea about what they have in mind for upgrades or as they call it "Premium Members". As they are the operators/owners now they have the right to make any changes they wish.

Are you staying in Mpls or heading to sunny PS ? Hi Pete, no I've decided I like living in Minneapolis too much to make such a major move, especially to a place that doesn't have basements. What I've done for the past few years is to become a snow bird, Spring-Summer-Fall in Minneapolis and...
