Hi Everyone: I have a white Maytag Gemini the control panel has gone out on. This happened about ten years ago, I replaced it and it continued to work fine. Bottom oven goes on, works fine but top oven won't start. (Same symptoms as last time which control panel replacement fixed.) Model is...

Last big purchase of 2018 - a new dishwasher

Love our Bosch We have an 800 series...similar but with front controls. It also has the third rack and water softener. Amazingly quiet, great cleaner and uses minimal water. I won't ever get another dishwasher without an internal water softener. (Hard water here and don't want a full house...

    Quick question on “dog dishes”

Hot water heater? I’m assuming you’ve already checked/cleaned any filters present in the machine. Have you considered your hot water heater as the source of the issue? I know of people where their water heater is starting to fail (or the sacrificial rod inside the WH is almost spent) who have...

Is there a consensus? SAHM needs a washer!

LG We have an LG and also live in San Diego. If you get an LG, definitely get one with an internal heater. We have been extremely happy with our LG. If you are using unsoftened SD water, you need to consider getting STPP (sodium tri poly phosphate) and using some with each load in the wash...

    Bosch Dishwasher Service Mode

Hi Everyone: Anyone know if it is possible to access the Service Mode on a Bosch Dishwasher? Instructions and available settings? I have model SHE7PT52UC (800 Series, about two years old) and want to see if there is a setting where I can force an extra rinse. Thanks Bob

    Maytag 1999 Jetclean Dishwashers!

I had a 9100 for 12 years. Ran great and everything came out flawlessly. Only had issues with it when they came out to do the repair for the rinse aid dispenser recall. Control panel fried about a month after that.

Can I please have Sudsmasters help?

Dafna STPP Hi Everyone: I got my STPP from Dafna (via Amazon) in April 2015. I have not had any issues. I did a quick test today in hot water and it dissolved in 30 seconds with only mild agitation. (This was with more than the normal amount used with laundering to demonstrate worst case...

    Making a Roast Pork Loin

145 degrees F I have also started cooking my pork roasts to 145 deg F (using a meat thermometer) at the recommendation of a friend who just finished culinary school. Until she recommended it, I was unaware of the recommendations Launderess cited. I've also started lowering the temperature I...

    Maytag Maxima, LG or Samsung?

LG We have an LG (older model, but similar to the 4270) and love it. Whatever you decide, make sure you get one with an internal water heater. If you want hot washes, you have to have it. Bob

Water sitting in my LG 3570 bleach dispenser

Same here... On our LG with the identical dispenser drawer we also see a small amount of water remaining in the bleach dispenser. I usually dump it at the end of the day and have not seen it reappear when the washer sits for several days of non-use. Bob

Variations of Jet-Dry and Finish (liquid) Detergent Booster

Vinegar While I have not tried it in the Bosch, I did try distilled vinegar in various proportions with Jet-Dry in the dispenser of the TT KitchenAid. (I was trying to cut the Jet-Dry Turbo Dry with vinegar to minimize foaming yet still get minimal to no spotting.) I was never able to get it...

Variations of Jet-Dry and Finish (liquid) Detergent Booster

I have seen in my local stores that Finish has a new liquid detergent booster in addition to the powdered (citric acid) detergent booster. The liquid detergent booster is intended to be put into the rinse agent dispenser. I called R-B Consumer Affairs and asked about the differences between...

    My New Dishwasher :)

Priming hot water line... I used to do this with our recently replaced KA. When we installed the Bosch, I tried it for a few cycles then stopped to see if it made a difference. Things come out flawless either way. (Not the case with the KA...priming was essential to make sure it started with...
