Small Point-of-Use Electric Water Heater Recommendations

5gal Thanks for all the input...I will definitely consider a larger tank size. 5 would probably be good...the KA also will do some heating which will add to some time for the water heater to recover. Of course, maybe I should consider an even larger tank and space for more appliances...

Small Point-of-Use Electric Water Heater Recommendations

Stiebel-Eltron I think this one or a similar mini-tank unit will be what we go with. The info about the tankless regarding temperature rise and current draw was very helpful. Bob http://www.amazon.com/Stiebel-Eltron-SHC-2-5-Mini-Tank/dp/B0048EJXZ2/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top#productDetails

    Albertsons owner to buy Safeway

Futurama Bowl and Zanotto's Although I moved to San Diego in 1998, I grew up in West San Jose and remember the Futurama Bowl well. We moved to Sacramento in high school then I came back and, when in college at Santa Clara University, they converted it to the Safeway. I lived in Santa Clara...

    Hot Water Heater Info Request

Bradford-White We installed a Bradford-White at the recommendation of my brother who is a facility director at a national restaurant chain. They use B-W in almost all of their restaurants. We have been extremely happy with it and saw our bill drop by over 60% after installation. Bob

    Oxygen Bleach Questions

Thanks Launderess! Agree about the OxiClean and fillers. Just couldn't find the small pure percarbonate Ecover (only a Ecover blend of percarbonate and washing soda) and was perusing alternatives.

    Oxygen Bleach Questions

    1. Has anyone had difficulty finding the Ecover 100% sodium percarbonate (small box) of oxygen bleach in the US? We used to have it at our local natural food stores but it seems to have been replaced by a formulation blended with washing soda. I may just have to order from the Chemistry...

    "Big Load" Finish vs. Electrasol

I was on Ebay today and came across this old Finish ad. Both Finish and Electrasol were made by Economics Laboratories. Were there any formula differences between the two or were they basically the same stuff? From what I remember, they were both white powders with a mild chlorine fragrance...

Need new FL'er what should I buy?

LG: Great but get one with an internal heater I had an LG model very similar to the WM2250 and really liked it. The only issue was it had no internal heater. I ended up giving it to a friend who needed a washer because hers had died. I got a similar model with an internal heater and am very...

    There's always room for Jello!

Holiday Jello Salad My grandmother made a tri-layer molded Jello salad for Christmas...layers of red, yellow-white and green. The red layer was plain red (cherry) Jello. The yellow-white layer was lemon Jello with cream cheese and crushed pineapple (thoroughly draining the juice from the...

    Cleaning Products You Miss.....

Original Clorox 2, Electrasol Loved the smell of original Clorox 2 powder. Also loved how it worked along with how great Electrasol worked. While we're on it, were Electrasol and Finish powder the same just with different labeling? From what I remember they were both made by EL and were white...

    Miele Dishwashers

So I have started to have the urge to get a new dishwasher and am considering a Miele (G5915SCi or similar). A few questions for Miele owners: 1. Is it possible to create a custom program on the newer models? (i.e., adding a prewash or an extra rinse and saving that for easy recall) 2. Is it...

Stuff Your Mother Never Made You

What a great thread... My mother and father are both very good cooks. I am from a family of seven kids and pretty much everything that served growing up was made from scratch using produce that was in season. (Basically because they could get large quantities of it and it was inexpensive.)...
