    New Clothes Washer and Dryer

For an old-school clean like when you were a kid, get the Speed Queen TC5 as Pierre suggested. If you want a modern washer that cleans and rinses excellently, get an LG front loader with Turbowash. It will clean a full load in about 30 minutes...

Dan... I'm curious what dishwashers claim to sanitize and don't get to 120F?

I think the amounts are similar. I follow the dosing instructions on the box.

unscented/low scent powdered laundry detergents that produce few suds

I do think the All is lower sudsing than Tide with my Lake Michigan-sourced water. It's worth a try as All is readily available at Amazon or Walmart for less than $5 a box.

unscented/low scent powdered laundry detergents that produce few suds

Have you tried All Free powder? It's low sudsing and works nearly as well as the Tide F&G powder.

New Miele G 7000 dishwasher with PowerDisk

Congrats on the new dishwasher! The tub looked a little less cluttered on the old models when the supply pipes were hidden.

    LG Front Load Washer

Pretty much every LG appliance I have seen was made in Korea. And now they are also assembling a lot of washers in the USA. The reality is LG now makes a better and more reliable washer than Whirlpool.

    Worst washing machines

Whirlpool Whirlpool no longer appears to manufacture quality washers. Their new front load washers are a joke with the plastic inner door and terrible suspension. The washer tries a few times to spin and then gives up. And that recirculation pump is miserable. I'm also unimpressed with their...

    Latest Whirlpool Dishwashers

Looks good! It looks like it has a stainless cutlery basket similar to what was on the high-end Maytags. Anyone know the model number of this one? I don't think I see it on Whirlpool's website. I have been very happy with my 14 month old WDT730PAHZ. I wonder if the wash pump is variable speed...

Cleaning skin oil stains on pillow cases

I had similar issue I have dark gray sheets that really show body oils. My skin is extremely oily and I've tried many various detergents and wash routines including prewash, soaks, powders, boosters, etc. What works best for me is I made my own pretreatment spray which is simply about 4...

    Fun thread, favorite dishwasher detergent?

I cannot tolerate any scents on my dishes or plastics so I use only unscented or very lightly scented products. I'm currently using Seventh Generation powder with Lemi Shine rinse aid and am getting excellent results. Everything comes out perfectly clean, smooth and shiny. I was previously...

Simple questions on Bosch 800 operation

Bob, sorry to hear your Kitchenaid didn't last very long! My sister in law has that exact same Bosch model you purchased. It is very nice and super quiet. They love the CrystalDry feature...It actually works! I spent time studying their dishwasher and loading the racks. It's a quality machine...

    Tide Zero

They removed OBAs from Tide F&G at least about a year ago. Check the SmartLabel link below. They are now putting ingredient lists right on their products and my bottle of Tide F&G with Downy does not list OBAs. From what I can tell, the F&G formulas that still contain OBAs include their powder...

More Woes With Whirlpool 6620 Front-loading Washer: 2nd Machine Also A Dud

I agree with Mark... These issues may have been avoided if the washer was plugged into a surge protector. There are a lot of complaints about WP control board issues and I wonder if their boards or capacitors are especially sensitive to even minor power fluctuations??? When I installed my WP...

UPDATED SPEED QUEEN DRYER DR5003WE for 2021

DF7? I wonder if these features are going to come over to the DF7? Having the ability to use steam in the dryer is super convenient way to refresh and dewrinkle clothing.
