    Henkel buys Aussie C/P

Thank you Rod, I have, in the past, tried to order stuff from German websites, but always found that there was a problem either with their billing, dispatch or availability. Many companies won't send products to Oz. How do did you come by a German mailbox? On Finish, the formulation that I use...

    Henkel buys Aussie C/P

I buy the Finish Classic 2x Concentrate powder for the same reason. Other powders (those with the blue stuff mixed in with the white powder), leave blue sticky residue in my dishwasher and streaks on my dishes. Finish leaves them for dead. I usually buy mine from Costco and it is made in Korea...

RETRO FRIDAY- Impeller Wash in Action Commercial

My grandfather had a portable bol Kenmore Bakelite impeller dishwasher, that he'd purchased in 1954, when he built his house in Brentwood, Suffolk County. It worked for 40 trouble-free years and never left any yibbles on dishes; because his wife was a fastidious pre-rinser.

    DOE Regulations - Air Conditioning

It's about 67 at night in New Hampshire, why would you need an air conditioner? Can't you just open a window and get a fan or something?

New speed queen awn432 fill adjustment details?

No, that is actually not possible. The plastic collar is fixed to the stainless tub, there is no gap for anything to slip between the inner and outer baskets. If you look at Post#834657 you can see what I am talking about.

Breaks won't release for spin cycle

Mr Yogitunes The belt was labeled RSPC #200923 and the other replacement parts were the idler wheel and bearing, part #510142P from Alliance Laundry Systems. This is the first and only belt change in 12 years. No excessive belt wear and tear, but with this new belt and bearing the machine runs...

New speed queen awn432 fill adjustment details?

You can go higher than just under the top holes. Mine is set to just above the rim of the stainless basket and the water level touches the underside of the plastic collar. You can set it so that the water level reaches an inch above the stainless basket and is half way up the collar. Sometimes...

Breaks won't release for spin cycle

Mr Yogitunes I asked my friend to give me the part numbers, but he hasn't gotten back to me. When I find out I'll put the info up for you.

Breaks won't release for spin cycle

Hi there washer111 My previous Kleenmaid washer lasted about 20 years and then the tub seal failed, or was it a rusty tub? I don't remember. It was uncanny though and happened the day the repairman came. For a few months there had been a small trickle coming out from underneath that machine and...

Breaks won't release for spin cycle

Thanks for all of your helpful suggestions A good friend of mine, who repairs washing machines, fixed it. He changed the pulley that controls the agitate/spin function and put a smaller belt in. Now the machine takes off like a jet plane when it spins and it washes really quiet too. It's good...

Breaks won't release for spin cycle

Today, I've serviced my SQ top loader. It's been a stellar performer for 12 years and it was time to give it some tlc. I've put a new belt in, cleaned everything on the inside and installed a new timer; the old one was misbehaving (not advancing properly or consistently). After my loving...

    DOE Regulations - Air Conditioning

I was being tongue-in-cheek. 120 degrees is pretty warm by any standard and can be life-threatening for some. Maybe there is some thyroid thing going on that so many people are quite happy to sit in the cold, but as soon as the mercury goes above 73 they head straight for the air con. I used...

    DOE Regulations - Air Conditioning

It is time to turn off your air conditioners and get out there. All this nonsense about global warming stems from people who live in artificial and climate controlled environments all their lives and who are unable to cope with nature as a result. As soon as the mercury hits the high seventies...

New owner of a 2015 Speed Queen TL washer!

You are missing the point. People, like myself, who buy these washers, don't care about CR reviews. I know exactly what I have got. I've had it for almost 30 years now and am getting exactly what I want in a washing machine. BTW, I have recently purchased Dynamo and Ajax HE liquid detergent...

"My SQ cleans just fine thank you. And it does not take half a day to do it. Nor has it ever needed "cleaned" with extra cost "cleaners". Long live the SQ!" Ditto!
