    Best smelling washing powder

Jet.com Has the best prices I've seen for Oxydol...if you stock up you get free shipping once you spend $35.. I've never used it, but I have heard good things about it. It's made by the same company that makes Biz, which is a great product too.

2018 speed queen TL washers revisited

That's why I REALLY would rather keep my Maytag dryer. It's freaking awesome. Has steam and everything. Lots of temps and cycles. It works very very well. The F&P washer would match it pretty well too, so have to think about that. If anything I'd probably pick the mechanical dial SQ washer and...

2018 speed queen TL washers revisited

I love my Maytag set but I've found it to be a bit too large for my needs and I'd like to control the water level a little more. It cleans fantastically, but also takes longer. So my weekends are spent mostly doing laundry. Doesn't help I'm completely OCD about having everything clean! LOL. So...

2018 speed queen TL washers revisited

I was just at an appliance store looking at machines and the salesman said there is one more production period of the 2017's coming, then they will switch to the new 2018 models. He didn't have a lot of info on the new ones, aside from they will only offer electronic controls. Almost made me...

    Frigidaire DW Wash arms

Mine had the wash arm similar to the Orbit Clean one, except it was just a rectangle. It cleaned very well. I had no complaints with my Frigidaire dishwasher.

    Cold Water Wash

These were designed with landlords in mind. Probably those that supply utilities to their tenants. TONS of people wash in only cold. It does have a clean washer cycle and if used regularly, would keep the tub clean.

Stopped into a Sears today...found out that WHIRLPOOL is being dropped there!

Yeah but how many sales does their Kenmore branded machines get WP? A shit ton I would say. So WP is still doing well with Sears. I was just at the store looking at some appliances. They did have a few WP and MT washers on the floor. The sales agent mentioned something else having to do with...

Stopped into a Sears today...found out that WHIRLPOOL is being dropped there!

When I was a kid in the 80's Sears only sold Kenmore products AND they only took their store credit card or Discover for payments. I do remember when the Brand Central theme came out. I'm sure they make more money on Kenmore appliances so it would make sense to only sell their brand. They have...

Stopped into a Sears today...found out that WHIRLPOOL is being dropped there!

I helped my friend buy appliances about a year ago and she used Sears exclusively so I got pretty familiar with their products. WP is def their largest supplier, and they currently also use Frigidaire (Electrolux) and LG. GE used to make one of their laundry centers, but now the larger one is...

Stopped into a Sears today...found out that WHIRLPOOL is being dropped there!

Well honestly That makes sense. Originally all you could buy at Sears, were Kenmore appliances. Considering that WP makes most of Kenmore's...seems rather redundant to sell both brands. It will help their own brand sales. I think it's a good move. The should stop selling LG's as well since LG...

    4.1 HE Frigidaire TL

It looks like a decent washer. Kirk from AUS did some videos on it....

    Liquid vs Powder vs Pods.

I like powder too, though in my current machine it's not great to use unless I'm washing a full load with full water level. I am using liquid now but I really don't like it. Too messy and I'm so ocd about rinsing the cap out! haha. I love pods, easy to dose, no mess, etc. They are a bit more...

If you don;t like HE Washing Machines

Oh brother I can't watch his videos. He repeats the same things over and over and over and over and over and over. It's like, come on, get over it already. I can't imagine being that obsessed over being against something. I'm all for retro, but this dude is just plain stuck in another era. LOL

Home security with cameras and full time recording capabilities..

I have a Comcast system through my cable package. It's 24.99 a month and then another 9.99 for the video 24 hour surveillance. I've been happy with it so far. I had a break in so I needed something and this was the easiest setup for me.

    Single Rinse Kitchen Aids

One rinse does ok actually. My 85 Hobart KDM-21 has only 1 after the last wash segment. Since I replaced the upper spray arm feed tube I haven't had any issues with sediment at all. These machines have a good filtration system!

Please Help Educate Me on Hobart KitchenAid Dishwashers

Sorry to revive this old post but I found a question here that wasn't answered. I just noticed last night that there is a chip in the interior on the back of my 85 Hobart tub. How do you fix this? It looks black so maybe it didn't go all the way through? I dunno...I just don't want it to rust.

Using modern enzyme detergent in old vintage dishwasher?

They are excellent cleaners no doubt. But I have no problem buying a modern dishwasher. My 2014 Frigidaire cleaned as well as the KitchenAid honestly. I just love the vintage machines...my light bill has gone up quite a bit since, but worth it in my opinion.

    New GE Washer

I really like these new GE washers. They do indeed seem the closest you can get to a "traditional" washer.

This is where I get my Boil Out from...seems like they have the best price...and includes free shipping...

Using modern enzyme detergent in old vintage dishwasher?

I use the Fryer Boil Out in my 85 Hobart and it performs flawlessly. I find if I have really dirty pots or casserole dishes, I need to use more detergent and it works ok. Otherwise, yes, Cascade Complete Powder works great in these older machines. I had no trouble at all using it and it cleans...
