    UK bleach dispensers

At Optima... Are you sure isn't there something missing in your Hoover Performa's detergent drawer? My parents' old Zerowatt (Candy) had the same kind of thing, the compartment for the conditioner and the 1 for the bleach share the same section but there are two extra little compartments...

    LOOK AT THIS RIP OFF

Wash time... Another important element to be taken account in judging the machine capacity is the cycle profiles and wash times. The Dyson is fine for washing 7kgs of dry laundry but the LGs and other modern machines would be able to wash satisfactorily 11-12kgs in the same volume drum simply...

    performa

Solsburian, that's right... that's exactly what I meant: those are the things you, I, and most on this forum would notice on a washing machine, although, a different control panel between a Vision and a GrandO may be enough to make them look different to the eye of an uninterested onlooker...

    performa

Immaculate conditions! It's kept beautifully... well done! The one thing in common with its Candy counterparts that catches my eye is the glass bowl... now I'm being picky :-P But then again... I like the fact that Hoover and Candy keep their individuality... although one can probably see...

    Indesit WIB101 Running Amok

Hi Optima Yeah... I don't think the machine 'realises' that is actually stopping... then it carries on spinning without balancing: most of the time it was balanced by sheer luck! I received some feedback on YT about the luck of spring pressure on the brushes since they're rather worn, and this...

HAHAHA! look how much they want for this old Hottie :/

It wouldn't surprise me at all if someone who's keen on this model was willing to fork that much out even if it's an old machine... perhaps a collector!

    Indesit WIB101 Running Amok

Thanks Alex! The last thing I would think of is that you made an idiot of yourself! This whole scenario leads me to think that other components might be involved... and you surely mentioned more technical bits than I ever did (now who's the idiot?). I guess the only way to find out whether...

    Chuck Away Society?

Smash Risk: Yes Dex, you're right there, when these unscheduled stops happen the machine does not attempt to balance, it just carries on spinning no matter what, in fact it went through an unbalanced burst in one occasion. Thank you for your trust in my Hoover ;-)

    Indesit WIB101 Running Amok

I agree but... Austin... my thoughts entirely... but I cannot help being doubtful as I've never heard of a machine behaving like this due to worn carbon brushes! I strongly doubt it's the PCB. I'll get a new set of brushes sometime soon... Gabriele... stunning isn't it? However, I can...

    Chuck Away Society?

New Thread with Video Thanks again folks. I've now made a new thread about this washer... no more talk about throw away habits ;-) It's a bit of a tricky suject I know... frankly I get the impression that companies in many areas of the globe try to push the consumer to take an even more...

    Indesit WIB101 Running Amok

Hi guys... thanks again for your comments on the previous thread 'Chuck Away Society". I decided to create a new thread as the focus has now shifted from the 'throw away society' to this washer's odd behaviour. I made a video where you can see the action I've taken to solve the erratic motor...

    Chuck Away Society?

Thanks 4 your feedback so far! I'm not an 'Indesit' fan but I couldn't resist not rescuing this one... it looked so new and I couldn't believe it'd been thrown away just like that! I didn't really need a washer, but you never know, my daily driver is getting long in the tooth! Special thanks...

    Chuck Away Society?

Hi everyone, a recent event made me realise how consumeristic our society has become: I just rescued an Indesit WIB101 washing machine from the tip which had been discarded because of worn carbon brushes. The machine is only a few years of age and beside the new pair of carbon brushes required...

Why does my candy aquamatic need this?

Well... I never ;-) Thanks 4 your reply aegokocarat!

Why does my candy aquamatic need this?

It's to isolate noise... I can confirm this serves as an acoustic baffle to contain the noise from the motor (as justly suggested by 'ronhic'). My Hoover has it too... that thing gives a feel of flimsiness though! You mentioned vintage machines in your comment... there's something else about...

    candy aquaviva not spinning

Well Done Anthony! My only concern now is about the rubber O-ring you turned upside down... that means that the rubber clothes retainer is no longer at the top as it will now be at the bottom... this could cause some items not to evacuate properly and tear as a result. Was replacing the carbon...

    candy aquaviva not spinning

More Info needed! Does this machine have a mechanical/hybrid cycle selector? It is likely that the brushes need replacing after 8 years but I find it strange that it should happen only on occasions and just on the final spin. You need to provide more information as to how and when it...

    My designs

Incredible work!! It's fabulous work... I particularly like the Automax section with all the features explained... I wonder what the price of such machines would be :-P Bully for you!

Ordering the new candy aquamatic :)

Sweet as 'Candy'? Hi guys, just quickly wanted to throw some light on the name 'Candy'... it isn't an Italian word, it is the word for 'sweet' as you know as English speaker. As it's written in the history of 'Candy' in their online archives, Mr. Fumagalli, the founder, had been to the States...

Machines that you have owned/owns that has gone faulty

Great Thread There :-) I think every1 loves to share their experiences with washing machines... so do I! I couldn't help noticing that many of you have gone through many washers in relatively short periods of time... and others have managed to keep 1 washer throughout their entire life... what...
