    question on dishwasher detergent?

It’s largely the same as Bubble Bandit, but I think the Cascade has more chlorine. Both have given excellent results for me.

    Typewriter Assistance

I actually work in a vacuum store that also repairs typewriters! I'll ask my boss if he has any suggestions when I'm there next, but I do have tomorrow and Monday off.

    question on dishwasher detergent?

Thats been my theory, I know there's other things about a detergent formula that change how well it works, but I have been giving a lot of credit for the additional cleaning ability of this stuff. It really does seem to be the magic ingredient.

    question on dishwasher detergent?

Very odd that the bubble bandit doesn’t have chlorine in it, I honestly thought it did! It definitely gets the stains off of things extremely well.

    question on dishwasher detergent?

I just split a case of 6 Cascade boxes with a good friend, 3 boxes each at just over $11 a box. Maybe a little more than some detergents, but the results I’ve been getting completely justify any small additional cost. I know some will say you don’t need the STPP in there to get things clean, but...

New to me KitchenAid KUDI01IL dishwasher

Yes, it definitely is. Some lighter plastic items I would not recommend putting on the bottom rack during the heated dry. If in doubt, just put it on the top rack.

KitchenAid KUDI23OBO Dishwasher Leaves Food On Dishes

Very true, some machines don't need as much. I have a Whirlpool PowerClean and hard water. If we had soft water or a machine that used less water I'd use less most likely.

KitchenAid KUDI23OBO Dishwasher Leaves Food On Dishes

I use about two heaping tablespoons full in the main wash, I'll usually add another to the pre wash if things are rather manky.

What Kind Of Water Do You People Have Out There?

Would a whole house RO system take all that crap out of the water? And I agree, this is the kind of thing the EPA was meant to deal with, and yet it seems they're always the last to do anything when it happens!

Convection Microwave Ovens - Gimmick or Godsend?

In the last 6 or so years we've become very accustomed to a toaster oven. Never had one growing up, but we finally got one. I actually find it preferable to the microwave for a lot of things, especially anything you want to get or keep a crisp on, like fries. We have a full sized convection...

What Kind Of Water Do You People Have Out There?

OuchC that’s some harshly hard water!! Without calling and asking the most recent information I have is from a 2014 report, 3.3 gpg hard. Seems a little on the light side compared to what the water leaves on things, but I still feel we need a softener. *UPDATE* Just found a more recent...

    Are Magic Chef dishwashers good?

    Hopefully its a nice KUDS25!

    question on dishwasher detergent?

I also vote for powders, and I’ll shamelessly promote using either Cascade fryer boil or Bubble Bandit. I use either, and especially if you have hard water they work much better. Used Finish power ball tabs for years, the dishes seemed clean enough, although things like coffee or red stains...

What to do with old dishwasher?

I’ve been suspecting something of this variety recently while frequenting the ReStores around here. Not seeing the 80s model dishwashers that I used to see, and some of the 90s ones too. But this has been over the last year, I’d say really the last 6 months.

    Power Clean?

It really was those of us without soft water that got (pun intended) hit hardest when they removed the phosphates.

Dishwasher Detergent Test - Phosphated vs Regular

I’ll actually do that, add a Finish tab to the prewash if I feel I have some very dirty stuff in there.

Dishwasher Detergent Test - Phosphated vs Regular

You'll notice you don't feel the need to ever use any kind of dishwasher cleaner again. Let's face it, I feel if its not getting the inside of itself clean, is it really cleaning your dishes?

    DISHWASHER: Miele G7856 Short-Cycle Professional DW. 240v

A good friend of mine is installing some central vac systems in these swanky nursing homes for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s that are being built, they have these dishwashers in the kitchens. It’s sort of a multi building thing, like a group of large houses sort of.

KitchenAid KUDI23OBO Dishwasher Leaves Food On Dishes

I’d recommend getting a detergent like Bubble Bandit or Cascade fryer boil that had the STPP already in it, by the time you buy detergent and STPP.

KitchenAid KUDI23OBO Dishwasher Leaves Food On Dishes

Our Whirlpool PowerClean has a rinse sprayer at the top of the tub, but until I switched back to a good detergent (Bubble Bandit and Cascade fryer boil) it left yibbles on things too. Adding TSP helped, but didn’t solve the problem. Now with the STPP detergent I don’t have this issue, and I load...
