What to do with old Quilting, Sewing and Crocheting books

Quilt Guild Contact the local quilt guild, they often have libraries or at least resources to disburse them. Don’t remember anything about the Flint area guild, but the Washtenaw area guild had a library available to members. A quick internet search for contact info or calling the local quilt...

Miele W1 in US software limitations vs. W1 sold in Europe?

From reading the Quick Refence Guide, I’m wondering if “Chorination” is selected in “settings”. When selected, it sounds like the machine goes straight into main wash instead of doing a prewash, dispensing bleach towards the end of the wash as well as extending the wash time. On our Diamond...

    Calgon powder / expense

Washing soda The recipe I’ve used, successfully, was washing soda, foil or aluminium plate and very hot water. Hope this helps!

    Miele G 5605 SCU Dishwasher

“I just pulled up an installation video and it appears that by the time this model was in production, Miele had changed their supply lines so as to have that blocky solenoid valve assembly integrated under the machine, so I won't panic if I don't see that component.” To me, that’s worth the...

    Miele G 5605 SCU Dishwasher

I would grab it! That’s a near TOL from 6 or 7 years ago. From when the “Futura” moniker were first placed on their machines. We have a G2832- La Perla II, that was a floor model bought in 2011, which is the previous generation to the 5xxx series.

32" Wide SxS Counter Depth Fridge -- Does It Exist?

Not unless you’re willing to spend... In our quest for a fridge to fit an exactly 36” opening, we were looking at 30” options that were also counter depth. We needed either doors that would open a true 90 deg or a 30” I found two, Liebherr and Fisher and Paykel. I believe Miele is releasing a...

New Miele W1/T1 coming soon for US market

Mostly H2O2 Here's a link to the Phase 2 ingredients list from the UK site. It's mostly H2O2 with some OBA's and surfactants thrown in. https://www.miele.co.uk/pmedia/ZGP/data_sheet/100125572-000-00_UltraPhase2_11997107.pdf   Here are the Phase 1 ingredients:  ...

New Miele W1/T1 coming soon for US market

@launderess, happy to pass on info learned from THS! As mentioned up thread, thought it was interesting Miele actually tailored this series to the American consumer, some. @appnut, agreed, it’s nice to be able to select the exact temp instead of relying on what the manufacturer decides is said...

New Miele W1/T1 coming soon for US market

W1 Bob, Here’s a link to the WWH860 washer. These are impressive machines. I like that you change temp and spin speed settings to the actual temp and rpm and, of course the QuickIntenseWash cycles. Though, admittedly, I’m glad I didn’t wait to buy a new machine and went ahead with the Little...

The eBay listing for the Miele Little Giant 400 volt

I’m not sure it’s helpful, as I haven’t actually taken the front panel off our year old PW6065. But here are a few snaps of the places that have screws on the front panel. There’s one screw behind the drawer, one under the porthole and several sets under the front panel. I’ve also included one...

I said i was going to make noise... And it's getting louder!

@thomasortega, thanks for the info on the suspension! You're right, having a stable suspension is important in a camper. That alone makes this machine a very strong contender. I was wondering, in particular, about water consumption. We often stay in campgrounds without sewer. So it’s good to...

Miele PW6065 wiring diagram or schematic?

@bewitched, thanks for posting the electricals! I’m going to file these away with the service manuals.

I said i was going to make noise... And it's getting louder!

The size is perfect for an RV! Most of what I’ve seen is either junk or requires too much UI. I’m used to automatics, lol. I’m seriously considering your machine. Being able to a quick load of wash is the only thing I miss being able to do while camping. I have a couple of questions though...

I've never seen this model Kenmore before...

Circa 1992 I purchased that model in '92. 90 series, as stated above. 8 temps with 3 auto temp controlled- ww, wc and cc. Choice of one rinse or two on heavy duty plus infinite water level. Also had the triple dispensers upfront. Dual action agitated. The Heavy Duty cycle was HARD on clothes...

New Persil launch "once in a decade break throuh"

"Ingredients list is out now and confirms what I expected those Power Gems to be, they are more or less what they look like - Megaperls run over by a truck ;-) " There's one key difference though, neither formula has any bleach. It looks chock full of OBA's, to me, precluding it from being...

I use ammonia in mine too. No issues so far and use it in about half of all loads.

    Miele Novotronic W1918

I second what @bajaespuma said. Once you go Miele, you never go back, lol. I like to bleach my white, kitchen microfibres, but also like long, hot washes at 75c for hygiene and whitening. I wash the microfibres first on a 30c quick wash with a tiny bit of detergent and a half cap of Clorox...

SCORE! Finally found a used PW6065

@tomturbmatic Yes, they make 2 heights of plinths. They're on the Miele pro site. These are the only pro models that Miele allows for residential use. As far as dryers, they will only allow us to purchase the PT715C condenser dryer, even though they still import the vented for commercial use.
