Are self checkout lines a thing of the past?

How things have changed I find it really quite amazing how technology has changed the humble old supermarket from when I worked at Woolworths in the 1980'. When I started my old Woolies located at Moorebank shopping centre, was pretty small by today's standard's, we had basic trading hours...

UK Laundry and Dishwashing Detergents/Softeners launching in Australia

Omo to Persil All we need now is for Unilever to go full circle and rename Omo Persil as it is in New Zealand. Interesting looking Comfort bottles and fragrances, but I really dislike fab softener anyway so won't be trying it. Thanks for the info Matt. Steve.

Discussion & Debate: The Advantage & Disadvantage Of 7/8kg Washing Machines.

For what it's worth With our L.G. 8.5kg T.L.we tend to alternate a bit, on occasion we will fill it up and do an 8kg load but most times we will divide it up and do 2 smaller loads. I find it a bit advantageous to have a large capacity machine for this reason and also when we decide to wash...

    Detergent infused with eucalyptus oil

Indeed Yes indeed Chris, you are most probably right, there really is nothing as powerful as Omo or Drive, (actually I would include the liquid Maximat, I spoke of in an earlier post),but being the detergent whore that I am I just have to try different things all the time, I guess I am probably...

    Detergent infused with eucalyptus oil

Bought some of this Bosisto's Euca Fresh laundry powder to try, Woolworths had it on special and thought I might give it a try, the packaging says it has no added fillers in it, it is all detergent and is infused with 100% pure eucalyptus oil., I guess if nothing else, the loads should all smell...

I saved this from the tip

Hi this came into my work at St. Vinnies the other day and was set to be discarded simply because it is more than 30 years old, but it was Steve to the rescue, how many of my fellow Aussies (and anyone else for that matter) remember the brand Hecla. Hope you all enjoy the photos.

    New detergent discovery
