Have you ever had an allergy to any laundry detergent?

Yes! That's the word I was looking for... "Stuffy" When we have cold snaps with temps that get to near zero or below, regardless of the heat being on 64, it's almost always on trying to keep the temp at 64... and Wow... it's so uncomfortable with that heat constantly going trying to keep it...

    New Whirlpool Front Load Washers

I mean imagine going through a big box store checking out the cool front load washers... people open doors of GE, Whirlpool, Maytag, LG, Samsung, etc... and they immediately think... wow, this one's plastic... all of the other ones or glass. I'm not getting the one with plastic. I can totally...

Have you ever had an allergy to any laundry detergent?

I found something called "toasted skin syndrome" .. that's so crazy It's mostly better... I haven't even itched it days... I'm starting to think it was the material from the actual pad.. I don't think it was toasted skin syndrome by the way, I did take Benadryl when I was itching. I knew to...

Bosch weighs offer for appliance maker Whirlpool

You know the thing that bugs me MOST about Whirlpool since around after 2020 or so... whenever they redesigned their front load washers a few years ago... they started using plastic instead of glass... while ALL the other front loaders used glass... Of all of the manufacturers, WHIRLPOOL uses...

Have you ever had an allergy to any laundry detergent?

I'm becoming more convinced that it's not the detergent.... It's either two things... the material from the heating pad or a heat rash... but it's mostly gone... it still itches a little some days... but NOTHING like it did there for a few days... It was maddening I'm really bummed out because...

Have you ever had an allergy to any laundry detergent?

It's the type of heating pad that's plush built into it... in order to wash it, you wash the entire thing (which I did) but I haven't used it since I washed it.. I haven't used any heating pad now since I'm freaked out now about it burning me and may not even be realizing it. I'm just so...

Have you ever had an allergy to any laundry detergent?

Maybe that was it... from the heat... but I wasn't lying up against it with my bare skin....something was between me and it...but I've done this same exact thing before many times...until this new pad... which like I said was on low... and didn't feel overly hot...just barely warm on low... weird...

Have you ever had an allergy to any laundry detergent?

Story: So for YEARS I've been using powder in the big bucket called Windfresh (Sam's Club) But recently I ran out and just started using liquid because I didn't want to deal with the big bucket... Maybe about a month at this point. A week ago.. I pulled a muscle in my back. I had this new...

Will The TR Series Ever Go Away? Please?

Just saw a random video on youtube... not a professional one. Just a lady videoing her garden stains and her speed queen. Apparently, she lived in a duplex type setup with her son being on the other side. She used to have a whirlpool front loader which she gave to him that's on the other side...

    Dishwashers Making People Sick?

I add a shotglass of chlorine bleach to every load.... and the inside of my dishwasher just smells like what you would expect... that almost clean sanitized smell. There's no way anything's growing in there. I know LCB supposedly kills enzymes... but I think the fact that most the the LCB gets...

Here we go again. Are we using too much detergent?

I had been using powder for the longest time until recently switching to liquid... Now that I'm using liquid...I figured the manufacturers recommended amount would be way too much, right? But I decided to be good on my first use and measure what the recommended amount was....even though the...

    Countertop Ice Maker (help)

Mineral drops are drops you can buy to add back to ultra pure water that's had the minerals stripped... like reverse osmosis water... Like when you see bottled water that's been purfied... they add minerals back to that... I think that makes the water more alkaline.... before that it's acidic...

    Countertop Ice Maker (help)

This is more of a chemistry question. I tried googling and I think I know the answer but I'm really not sure. I just learned this when I discovered something with my countertop ice maker... which I've used a lot for a few months and taken immaculate care of (as I try to do everything I have)...

What's everyone using for laundry detergent these days?

I recently just switched back to liquid from years of using powder. Current Purex 4 in 1 liquid (blue bottle). Smells great and seems to clean/rinse well. But this is coming from someone who used Windfresh... Probably a very cheap powder... Honestly, over they years I was thinking about it and...

New front load from maypool with "pet pro" filter.

OK So everything about this FL I like... It's big... It's 27 inch (so it says) and it has a heater.. It has a pet cycle that uses MORE water.. I don't even have pets anymore but I used to deal with cat hair...but I never noticed it clogging the drain pump in my duet. I thought 27 inch FL's...

    Frozen Foods

I do this all the time...but I usually stick with lean cuisine meatloaf/mash potatoes... then I add my own organic veggies... Also the spaghetti.... But I always add stuff to it and don't just eat it as is... The way I heat them is I get two dinner plates... peel plastic off... turn the meal...

First time I've ever called a plumber

I was reading about venting issues and what the symptoms are of that... in almost every case you get things like bubbling toilet... surging sound... and slow draining... I don't have any of that... YEARS ago I do remember hearing a surging sound on occasion but I haven't heard that in years...

Right on cue...rinse aid dispenser starting to leak in Maytag Dishwasher

For the past couple of years I've used a clip fan I bought specifically for the dishwasher....because I've never used dry cycle... I open the doors when done, give racks a shake and clip the fan so it blows into the dishwasher while I do other things.... I even did this before I stopped using...
