    Commercial dishwashers for residential use?

Bringing this thread back because I had an opportunity to try one of these out just tonight. It appears to be the same model that my friend Owen has. I used it to wash a few dishes that weren't pre-rinsed just to play around with it, I was very impressed!

    Whirlpool washer quality

I had interest in the Maytag Commercial at one point, thanks to Lorain Furniture's review video. After hearing and seeing so many problems those machines had, since decided against it. My brother had a Maytag, didn't even last 5 years so it just recently got replaced by an LG front loader which...

What contributed to the end of Mayag?

I agree that the Neptunes were great machines. I had the ones with the touch screen like this set (dryer was a bit taller and it was gas). Mine unfortunately didn't last for very long but if I had gotten my set fixed, I would've likely still had them today. My grandfather also had one as well...

As of 2025, What are the best clean rinsing laundry detergents in the U.S ?

I went back to using Kirkland powder. Usually gets all the suds out from rinsing and no scents are left behind. Last time I used Persil liquid, it created so many excessive suds and it was an HE jug so I'm only sticking to powder for now on.

Is this a good model Speed Queen to buy used?

Very nice set! I think if you wanted to, take the knobs out and paint them white to get rid of the fade.

When did GE start to go bad?

Meh I've seen how the newer GE top loaders work, I wasn't impressed. I did at one point had interest on one model until I've seen several wash videos and saw what's inside of it. I think I probably would've gotten a Hydro Wave compare to whatever they sell today except the front loaders if I...

When did GE start to go bad?

Surprised no one brought this up GE did release a model that was basically a Speed Queen. From my gathering, these machines were problematic. I still would've taken a T over it no matter how much I think it's really cool. But definitely for certain I'd take one of these over any new GE top...

Is this a good model Speed Queen to buy used?

I'd say yes If I'm not mistaken, this appears to be a commercial set where the warranty was covered for the parts only.

When did GE start to go bad?

I'm with John completely, I don't understand the criticisms behind the T machines (BTW this is the first thread where I've heard these machines being called model T as a code) so I'm not convinced. I loved mine and I certainly never had problems neither my cousin's. I've overloaded my cousin's...

if you bough a house in 2025 with a modern vmw topload washer and modern frontload

Chances are I'd keep and fix up the modern front loader, it'd make absolutely no sense to me going for a vintage top loader. Even if I had to have the front loader replaced, I'd still get another one preferably LG. But if I had to go vintage, either a Whirlpool Duet or Maytag Neptune just like...

When did GE start to go bad?

Filter-Flo vs Model T Had both before, and I can honestly say I prefer the Model T over the FF. I did thought the FF was a good machine, but I will say though they have design flaws that makes me choose the Model T over it. As for the T washers being unreliable and terrible, mine never had any...

    National Laundry Day

According to the National Day Calendaer, today happens to be celebrating doing laundry. Interesting, it said it used to be on September 15th. Anyways, I'm just curious if anybody ever did laundry today and what machines you used? I just did a quick wash on some towels I've used to do a 6 month...

    WM4370 drain pump died

Yeah I think the SQ is very expensive for what it is. One of the other reasons I got the SF7 was because the insurance company paid for it completely, it was very hard to turn down on that offer. Plus I like the warranty length, appreciate that its assembled here in the US, and how simple it is...

When did Maytag start to go bad?

I can definitely say that one of Maytag's biggest mistakes was buying Hoover. But I'll also say that while I still blame Maytag for ruining Hoover, I do have more respect for the Hoovers they've made. I mean there's alot of Hoovers nowadays that I don't personally care about cause of how cheap...

    my fear

I don't My brother doesn't have the matching dryer, he does have a Maytag but it's one of their basic 29" models. Those are good machines. Honestly if I had to buy a brand new dryer today, I'd get one of Whirlpool's basic 29" models. WAY cheaper than buying a matching LG or SQ dryer.

    my fear

Front loaders utilize gravity friction, have higher RPM, and they're more delicate on my laundry so I have less lint removal. I also appreciate that they're more quieter, use less electricity and water, and can fit in bigger loads. I have sensitive skin myself but my front loader does so well...

    WM4370 drain pump died

Best of luck! I'd be curious to see if this could be done without taking the dryer down. When my pump failed, the technician tilted the the machine up to have easier access to it. In addition he replaced the pump with a different one where he claims the older style pumps last longer than the...

    my fear

You could try to have your washer fixed, but it may be a matter of time before something else breaks. At least that's what happened to my brother's machine, one part broke but still useable and then another one went where it was out of service. So they replaced it with this LG WM3400CW...

GE UltraFresh Vent System actually works!

My LG hasn't had a bad smell in the dispenser, and I don't even take the drawer out to dry. I guess I've been using bleach so much where it probably prevented it. In addition, My LG doesn't smell inside the drum. I use a magnetic door prop that helps air it out.

    my fear

I'd say better start saving up for a replacement. Sooner or later, there's a very good chance you're gonna have to get a new machine. Especially with the uncertainty of Whirlpool today where they may later go bankrupt for failures like my brother's Maytag.
