Pier As I said before, they already bought a replacement washer which is this LG WM3400CW. They got LG because I told them that I love mine and the appliance technician highly recommended LG. SQ is too expensive for them, plus I don't think they're worth the asking price anymore honestly.

If I had to buy a top loader today, I'd get a used direct drive which I see plenty of. Other than SQ, there's no brand new top loader I'd buy today.

Update So almost 5 years of owning the washer, it bit the dust. I was able to convince them into getting a front loader, they bought an LG.

I used to use the Cascade Complete pods, I don't anymore as the Kirkland pods don't create excessive suds. Other than that, I really loved the smell of them especially the Platinum. But now I have found that the powder works better where I think I'm going to discontinue using pods all together...
