Time for a new front loader...

That first pump looks just like the one my technician replaced, been working fine since then. Anyways moving back to the topic. I think my Electrolux did had an extra rinse option. However one of my criticisms was it just felt like there wasn't enough water to not only rinse everything out but...

    Detergent choices

I usually put detergent on top of my loads, never had any issues or noticed any differences.

Time for a new front loader...

I'll also say it again. Whatever my local technician did definitely made it work again without changing out any boards. I promise it now uses a different pump because it's smaller than the original one, he even showed me a side by side comparison before putting the new one on.

Time for a new front loader...

I never noticed mine was any quieter on my LG. But I did had to have my inverter pump replaced not too long ago in it's short lifespan. My technician swapped it with a regular LG pump because according to him, the inverter ones don't last as long.

Need recommendations on front load washer

Yup At least it hasn't had any repair done that I recall of, maybe it has but I can't say. My uncle owns the WF395BTPAWR/A2 model. It replaced the Kenmore front loader that was basically a Whirlpool Duet that died in it's short span but he still has the matching dryer. I overall really like it.

Time for a new front loader...

Our Maytag and Whirlpool were both front loaders. Two of our GEs' were top loaders, you're right that they're opposite machines compared to front loaders. But to clarify, if the GE front loaders today can clean just as well or better than their top loaders like my LG, then it'd be an honor going...

Time for a new front loader...

I love my LG. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get another LG. If it had to be a different one, I'd probably get a SQ or a Samsung cause one of my relatives still have theirs' for over 10 years now and my local technician I recalled saying they're good. My last place I lived at just shortly...

Need recommendations on front load washer

I love my LG. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get another LG. If it had to be a different one, I'd get a SQ or a Samsung based on what my local technician recommended. My last place I lived at just shortly before I moved had a brand new Electrolux and it was terrible compared to the...

The Great Debate. Gas vs Electric Dryers

I'll stick with a gas dryer unless if I had no choice. Sure it may be more expensive to buy than an electric dryer brand new but in the long run savings wise, it'd make more sense to me. It's the same reason why I'd also choose a front loader over a top loader.

    Speed Queen - Coming Soon...

Yup, we've only just got black machines this year. I've even contacted SQ directly and told me that whatever Appliance Insider said was obviously not true.

    Upgraded my dryer today

I still miss our old Neptune set, I probably could've had both of the machines fixed. And I already miss my grandfather's Neptune we just had replaced, according to my uncle it didn't survive from the flood. The only major appliance that did survive other than the Kenmore vacuum was the GE...

    New Whirlpool Front Load Washers

Speaking of price Since it was mentioned on the first post that these would be competitive to brands like LG and GE. I just noticed that the prices for both LG and GE have significantly dropped but more for GE. Is GE struggling with their front loaders? The UltraFresh models were released not...

    Speed Queen - Coming Soon...

I agree about the mechanical controls. At first I was convinced by SQ that electronics are the way to go but I later find that's not always the case. For reliability I actually ended up doing some discovery at multiple places online and founded that the electronic models especially the TC5/DC5...

Have you ever had an allergy to any laundry detergent?

You're definitely not the only one here Mark. I don't turn on the furnace near my bedroom during the winter, the other two we do turn on for the rest of the house. The cold just simply helps make me sleep better especially with the heating pad on if it gets too cold for me, I like wearing sweats...

    New Whirlpool Front Load Washers

Hmm Definitely looks interesting. If they wash and dry as well if not better than our old Duet set, I'd certainly be interested.

    Vintage Amway

There's a little more to this story. Amway countersued Dyson and they both settled by becoming joint licenses, I don't have evidence to support this but from what I heard it did happen. Amway yet again sued Dyson for defamation in 1997 and prevented Dyson from anymore talk, upi.com supports...

    The Great Washing Machine Scam

It seems that this website has simply turned into "The washer world according to Jerome" nowadays. Thank goodness I'm no longer a part of it by simply blocking him. Unless he changes his posting habits and apologizes to me after I personally emailed him to not use the German slang word here...

    Making the switch

Dang That's another thing it makes me appreciate about the older mechanical models including the commercial TV2000WN. From what I recall, those never did let me rotate the timer counterclockwise. I thought at first the DC5 was an improvement because that timer looked like you could move it...

Hard to tell but are the drum sizes the same still or are the larger sets making a comeback here?
