    7000 Tomorrows - WP & The 1964 World's Fair - 16mm

Thanks, Cory The world was too busy fighting wars to realize most of these predictions. Notice how they do not show the washer-dryer combination. I wonder if the cooktop was induction.

Kohl's is having quite a sale

I had a rug fatality and needed a new one. The 6' X 2' runner was priced $59.99, but when I got to the register, it was only 34.99. There were all kinds of Clearance signs in the part of the store I walked through.

1961 GE Combination W/D For Sale

If you spun out the load properly, like in a Unimatic which was the best extracting machine at the time, this was not horrible as a dryer-- a little hot on the regular setting, but not so fierce on the delicate setting which cut out the 1400 watt element. This machine was slightly more fool...

    Good Electric Cooking Burner

Your poor cookware looks like it was used over an open fire in a turd world country. Spray the outside with a good quality oven cleaner like Easy Off and let it sit for a few hours. Maybe if it did not look like hell, the heating element would not shy away from it.

    KitchenAid dishwasher racks

That is a very generous offer.

    EL panel clock dials...

My 1964ish GE clock radio had a little orange neon tube behind the clock face.

    NOS Kenmore W&D

Thanks, Launderess I had about all the fun I could stand with my Duet. I like my Second Gen Speed Queen far better.

    1963 Kenmore 70 Dryer

Friends had that dryer; replaced it with a late 60s matchall. I think the matchall had soft heat.

    Tappan trash compactor

For a few years, I lived in a condo that had a genuine, original Whirlpool compactor. I went to the Tribles appliance parts store a few miles away and bought a package of bags for it. I was the only person on my court between two buildings to use my compactor. All others had these billowing...

    Modern Living: Part Sixteen

Great ads! Thanks. The Presto stamped aluminum and stamped stainless steel cookers had concave bottoms which were not good on electric ranges, although if you waited 60 years, the Stainless Steel cookers would work well on induction units. The mirror bright aluminum did not stay mirror bright...

That is some ugly Asian crap.

    Filter Flo coin ops

Whatever replaced those washers will sure make a difference in the water bill.

    Settled on a new range!

You're working with what you have and there's a lot to be said for that. Best of success. If you have any 20 AMP circuits, you might want to acquire an induction cooking unit for when you need some power.
