Blaupunkt Hi - Fi , Vintage and Danish Modern

Pull out radio That's why I think mine is a slightly different model than the Colorado. Pulling open the midsection exposes the radio control. The top section on mine is storage on the left and the record player on the right. Looks like they may have made some changes as time went on so maybe...

Blaupunkt Hi - Fi , Vintage and Danish Modern

oh WOW...thanks for that Louis!!!!!!....I'm pretty sure its the one on the left in picture 2. The left unit and the right unit look very similar, although mine has the flared legs like in the left one and the legs in the right one are more straight. As long as the console pulls open to reveal...

Blaupunkt Hi - Fi , Vintage and Danish Modern

Thanks for that Louis. It definitely is a Blaupunkt, the name plate is still on the front. I googled a lot of the phrases you supplied and was amazed at how many pictures etc came up. I'm wondering now if Grundig and Blaupunkt were "sister" companies as so many components are the same. Funny...

Blaupunkt Hi - Fi , Vintage and Danish Modern

Wow, that is a very cool Grundig. They are the only manufacturer that I've been able to find that make a model similar to mine. I have searched high and low and have never seen another Bluapunkt like mine. Does that make it rare? or there just isn't much literature or pics about it.

Blaupunkt Hi - Fi , Vintage and Danish Modern

I've been clearing out some things and would like to "re home" my Blaupunkt hi fi console. Hoping someone local restores or is interested in vintage hi-fi's. I've had it since I was 18, so that was 38 years ago (more or less) Bought it from a friends parents that were moving to Florida, the...

    Driver's Ed Cars

Driver training was on a 79 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham. Just like the one below. I remember being impressed by the plush interior, nice ride, and how smoothly it shifted. Drivers test was on our 76 Ford Gran Torino, my Mom's car. It was the same color as the pic but had a tan 1/4 roof. I...

    Cavalcade of Food updates

This is just awesome Kevin and Ralph. So much hard work at something you love. I love the Christmas windows and all the vintage Christmas, that alone is worth a trip to see. My Aunt and Uncle lived in Huron Shores in Port Sanilac, and we used to go to Lexington all the time. What a cute...

    A Very Brady Bunch Renovation

There are a bunch of snippets on YouTube about this house and the renovation. My first thoughts were...how stupid! Doesn't everyone know the inside of the house only existed on a sound stage..the outside shot were only that..shots. Then when I saw what they did to the time capsule house, I...

    Hudson Washing Machine

I think to this very day, I mourn the loss of Hudson's department stores in Michigan and Marshall Fields in Chicago. People today will never know what it was like to shop in an actual department store that did and sold everything. And then when you were tired, you could go to the in store...

    2002 Ford Ranger 2.3l

We had a 00 Ranger step side 4wd. Unfortunately, it was pretty trouble prone its whole life. Some areas of repeat repairs on ours were upper/lower ball joints, rocker arms, front suspension components. Body hardware like door handles, hood release, tailgate. The 4wd system eventually just...

    Maytage Jet Clean portable

Hi and yes, its a real Maytag, made in Newton Ohio. Has the spray tower in the middle. I'm not sure of its exact age, I bought it used. It's really been a great machine, don't want to give up on it. I'm searching local ads looking for a similar machine but no luck yet.

    Maytage Jet Clean portable

I've had this dishwasher for 12 years now, bought it used when I bought this house. It's been great, cleans really well and until I remodel the kitchen I plan on keeping it. The problem is the racks are rusting in many places and it kind of skeeves me. Lost several tines on the upper and the...

    What ranges your family have/had?

Great thread I'm pretty sure I had that same range in my first mobile home Cole. It was also an early 80's model. Pilot lights only, even for the oven, but Almond was just making an appearance in the 80's so I was surprised the stove was so cheap but in a popular color. My family's house had...

    Furnace replacement

I second that opinion. Nothing compares to hot water systems for heat. My last 2 houses had them, this one does not and I miss them. I replaced my furnace 2 years ago and it was around $4000 and that was just swapping it out.

    Sears bankruptcy looming

I was sad to learn they closed the Sears in Lincoln Park Michigan where I grew up. Was once one of their highest volume stores and now gone. Fond memories of my Grandmother taking us there, the smell of popcorn and new tires, the huge appliance and vacuum department. I'm sure they will tear it...

    Whirlpool/Kenmore Design 2000 Thread

I think it was 1987 when I got my first washer, which was a low end Design 2000. I had just bought my mobile home and my employees got a collection together for Christmas, and it was enough to buy the washer, $325, I sprung for the matching dryer. I remember looking at really inexpensive...
