My complex has dumpsters so we don't recycle. However we put all cardboard, coffee cans and anything that won't smell due to food staining in the compactor. We go about a month without changing the bag.

I didn't have high hopes because the mess was broiled on pretty well but a decent job though. I was able to sponge the rest of the mess off and put it back in for the dry cycle. Perhaps Finish Quantum or Cascade Platinum would have done a better job. The Finish Max was on sale

So it occurred to me tonight while loading my 2013 Amana that I've never gotten Bob's seal of approval. Tonight's dinner was prime rib, sauteed spinach and garlic and baked potatoes. Heavy Wash with Hi Temp and a Finish Powerball Max. No pre rinsing was involved.

What was the first garbage disposal that you ever had? My parents had an Insinkerator Badger 5 installed in 1991. The first one I bought when I moved out on my own was the Kenmore 1/2 hp that looked just like the Badger

When the final rinse is done I pull out both racks, let the steam escape, tilt any coffee mugs and shake the plastics. Sometimes I'll let the machine dry everything or I'll just leave the door open. Either way in an hour all is dry and ready to be put away
