AM music stations i have one local AM still playing rock/pop music-they advertise playing '60s/'70s,but similar vibe songs as recent as 1982 are played sometimes.I think there is actually a "DJ" sitting at a keyboard,but no records or tapes..

possibly stiff mod shifter? I had a VMW do that in a cold basement once-rocked the washer back and blew warm air under and problem went away.Figured grease in the shifter got too stiff from the cold for the little timer motor.

Westinghouse based Westinghouse and quite late-perhaps around 1987.I'd buy it and try it out.

washing results... ...are a little bit meh so far on crudded on grease and nasty pet bowls-pretty sure the cause is too-low water temp:cold fill,missing insulation blanket,and running under shade tree results in luke-warm wash water...Easier soils cleaned up nice.GE detractors will like that...

sounds like the "new" motor has a bad overload protector.The original one probably has worn bushing and the rotor is dragging. If diagram for motor is avalible,check if the overload is open circuit.

it works placed on a pallet and running a test wash-so far no trouble awakening from 19yr slumber other than insulating blanket crumbled and fell apart at slightest touch...Machine runs with a thrumming vibration from a pump that is not perfectly balanced and sounds like quite active water...

nothing after ~1970 ? I have not seen any Westinghouse small appliances or electronics(including industrial/commercial) made after about 1970,so they may have quit this stuff after about that time.

directional wet rotor PM wash motor. do not recall what brand,but i salvaged a wet rotor wash pump at the dump and it had electronic circutry to make the motor run same direction every time and a directional impeller and volute was used.

that motor is brushed dc and very similar to that used in later model Frigidaire dishwashers: permanent magnet with rectifier built into motor.I saved one of these motors from a FD dishwasher that was junked after a year of service because the(about 100% fail rate)door switch was bad...An easy...

motor rotor fins move cooling air on this motor-also motor is ball bearing,so you may hear these bearings.
