Do you use heated dry on your dishwasher?

With my 145-150f water temp I don't need heated dry. A folded potholder works fine to prop the door open.

    Comparing Available Powder Detergents

I use premiere chlorine based powder. It is unscented but when the kudi23 finishes it just smells like a clean dishwasher reminiscent of new vinyl racks in a new dishwasher.

    Switching back to using powder

Arm and hammer, Ariel, foca, Blanco, tide, all still have powder. Gain might still I don't buy it so haven't paid any attention.

    Switching back to using powder

Love the smell of Ariel. It just doesn't do as well with a water softener.

    Heat pump water heater?

I remember about forty years ago TVA had a display at the home show with a HPWH unit that connected to your traditional water heater through the drain port and heated water that way. I don't know how good they were nor how many they sold. I might still have a brochure in my trunk in the closet.

    Their SQ FL Washer Died!

Electronics My mother's new WP Stack has that familiar led indicator light set and a board inside. I'm hoping hers doesn't go bonkers on her. She's so leary of Computer Boards. Then a few weeks ago they had to buy a new fridge. They got the smallest WP branded SxS. Of course it has a board in...

Need assistance finding manual for dishwasher

If indeed you do need a new wash arm retainer cap I have found a few stores that still have some just by hitting up Google for WP3367910. Repair clinic even still has the motor in stock. One store is https://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/search/part/2223029/

    Thoughts on LG wash tower.

My parents have a laundry closet set up for side by side but my mother keeps a stacked set. When her Maytag setup went out she got a new WP Set. I expected them to go back to side by side but she said nope she wanted another stack because she gained more space in that closet. At least it isn't...

    Whirlpool Duets for Sale

Reply 15 Miele has a special box that plugs into a dryer outlet which then divides the power into two separately fused 240v circuits. Miele now also has a special plug to allow a 240v dryer outlet to be used to power two 120v units. Asko and Bosch allow the washers to be plugged into an outlet...

    Dawn Ruined By P&G

I just buy the Walmart version of dawn. Works great and doesn't smell bad to me

    What's in odor fighting detergent?

I can speak about lestoil working well. I got a couple of bottles when I was working on the clutch in my car. All that road grime mixed with black diesel oil and soot. My work clothes were quite nasty. I put lestoil on them and washed on a 190F cycle in the Miele and they all pretty much came...

    Presto Pressure Cooker Handle

When I bought my most recent presto it arrived with the handles unattached and I had to attach them. They are as tight as I dare to tighten them but they still move a little. My old Preston does not do this and it was fully assembled when it was purchased. I got both of them new but about 25...

    Bought a pressure cooker

I love my PC's! I have two stainless prestos and my grandmother's old aluminum mirromatic. One of my stainless works with induction. I learned how to use a PC from my grandmother as she used that mirromatic. No one else in my family knows how to use one (my mom can use a canner, same difference...

    Powered Anode Rod

Well it has been exactly two years since I installed a new water heater so I took my impact wrench and removed the anode to check it out. You can see at the top where it has already dissolved down to the wire inside. I went ahead and installed the powered anode at this time. We shall see how it...

Conventional electric ranges: the phase-out begins?

Pacemakers have come a long way with shielding built into them now. Some of them can even go thru MRI machines.

    My little bug

I just thought I'd share about my most recent endeavor to keep my car going. My 2001 VW Beetle TDI flipped to 341,000 miles back in July. It was still running the original clutch. One morning on my way home from work I stopped at a store one mile from home. Got back in the car and immediately...

    ~2015-19 Jeep Renegade...

My Acura MDX AWD with V6 gets 25 consistently, sometimes a little better on the open interstate. Love AWD! Works great in rainy weather too. Last year when we had that ice the Acura with its control never missed a lick and I tried to make it do it.

    ~2015-19 Jeep Renegade...

I love the renegade, I wanted one but reliability????? Nope! Fiat made in Italy. When I googled renegade complaints and problems a bunch came up...so I decided against it. Heck, Kia soul is more reliable and similar just no 4x4 option.

New Cascade commercial and Cascade Platinum Plus massively oversudsing dishwasher

We use commercial chlorine powder in our thirty year old kudi23 but occasionally use the newest top of the line finish pods and they don't over suds with our water softener. They clean well and make glass sparkle. I can't even use Miele detergent tabs due to foaming.

Mounting Stem and Boot Seal Kit Part #6-2095720 For a Maytag Model #LAT9605AAM

Maytag decided in their infinite wisdom that four bolts are enough and changed that later on but the trans is the same. Mine also has the eight bolts. It has silicone sealer around the perimeter of the trans cover from the factory anyway so I guess they figured it was enough and saved a few...
