Still using my sharp convection microwave with stainless interior. Next one probably won't have the convection feature, I don't use it much except for holiday cooking when I need a different oven temperature from the gas range.

Even with softened water I've been using finish ultimate without too much foaming in the KUDI23 KitchenAid I kind of go back and forth between chlorine powder and the new finish packs.

I've had a few colored towels fade with Clorox but my solution was to wash them in a load with the white out stuff and just made them all white. I now only buy white towels because I always use hot water and Clorox every time.

I was looking at detergents at Walmart last week and happened to pick up a bottle of "original Cascade gel".  It did not have the Clorox logo on the label but the ingredients listed sodium hypochlorite.  I'm still using that Premiere powder with good results.

Never saw a gas one.  Back then we had an electric WH so we didn't really look at the gas offerings at the time.  How does that work?  I just looked and HD still sells the electric ones with plastic tanks...Rheem Marathon.

I had an 83 Buick Skyhawk. It was a nice riding car with plenty of power. I always wanted a Oldsmobile Calais with the chopped off rear and flat front...sister to the grand am and Buick Skylark. found one on eBay with low miles.

I also tried the Miele tablets but they filmed way too much with my water softener. I gave them to my mother...no softener but the same dishwasher.

I just bought a small pack of Finish Ultimate tabs to try.  So far no major foaming issues with soft water.  Tony made baked ziti a few days ago and the dish had burned cheese on it.  I didn't let him pre-scrub just to see what would happen.  It came out of the KUDI23 spotless. 

I bought one and was going to install it in my WH last year but I found my WH was already rusted out so I bought a new heater.  I figured the new anode should be good for at least a year in our softened water.  I'm on vacation after these next two nights so I may unscrew it to see what it looks...
