    'Double Knits' definition

When did WP switch to the drain-pause-fill-agitate sequence? KM did so in 1976, on high speed.

    'Double Knits' definition

Did Whirlpool ever have the simulateous fill & agitate like Kenmore?

Thanks for your help! BTW, That 70s Show had Mila Kunis (Jackie) capture my heart!

    'Double Knits' definition

I've been wondering about the difference between 'knits' and 'double knits' fabrics as defined by some manufacturers jurisdictions.

    Frigidaire 1-18 Sanitary+?!?!?!

About the same function as early 70s Lady Kenmore's Sani-Rinse cycle, used concurrently with Pre-Wash.

    BD Kenmore

Whoops! You're right. My bad. Anyway, it's the same font as pre-Cotton/Sturdy, which seems rather unusual.

    BD Kenmore

With the 'Normal' cycle name, and the regular square-like font, this seems to date no later than 1981.

Whirlpool customer satisfaction Did that Whirlpool customer satisfaction also apply to Kenmore, since they were made by Whirlpool?

    What makes 'Knit' fabrics wrinkle-prone?

It was in reference to the Whirlpool Knit Cycle (with single cool-down) from 1973-79, as well as 1980s era Maytags. For the latter with a speed selector switch, the cycle timer would read 'Delicates' for the 'Regular Fabrics' cycle, and 'Knits' in the 'Permanent Press' cycle, both at the lower...

    What makes 'Knit' fabrics wrinkle-prone?

As you amy recall, several vintage washer manufacturers added a special cycle for knitted fabrics which included a cool-down like for permanent press fabrics to prevent wrinkles. I was wondering about what makes knitted fabrics prone to wrinkle to necessitate a cool-down.

    POD 9-6; Kenmore, year?

The '6' in the Permanent Press dial looks like an '8'. Was it some kind of early 'photoshopping' for the catalog?

1978 Frigidaire Jet Cone Washer Commercial

"Put a Sock In It" I remember that commercial vividly. I remember a lot of them from my childhood that decade! I remember the "sequel" in they dropped a sock into both of those washers to show how quickly it dissappeared to demonstrate its quick rollover.

    60's Kenmore W/D

Looks like the very first model with the Soak cycle from 1969.

    SQ/Huebsch Commercial Dryer Temperatures

I have SQ commercial dryers at my apartment complex with four temperature selections: High, Medium, Low, and Delicate. My nearest laundromat has Huebsch dryers with those same selections with the same tempratures. It seems that the Medium temperature is about as hot as it is on High. As a...

    1968 Kenmore 800 - Speed Shift

Did this model also downshift during the Permament Press agitation before the cool-down, without the upshift?

    No Gentle Speed Whirlpool Washer

Permanent Press agitation downshift Is it at the 6 minute mark in the Permanent Press cycle where the agitation downshifted from high to low speed?

    No Gentle Speed Whirlpool Washer

Just curious, is the cool-down drain (Permanent Press and Knit cycles) low speed?
