    Cycle Color schemes Note in the upper row of buttons that the "Cottons/Linens White" and Permanent Press White" have a magenta strip (as do the "Colored" selections) instead of a white one. Was that how that washer originally appeared or did they alter the white strips with the magenta?

    So How About This Kenmore?

    Washer timer changes 1974 marked several major changes in the cycle times. The Pre-Soak cycle was reduced from 30 to 22 minutes, and Permanent Press from 12 to 8 minutes. Was this all due the extension of the drain phase to an additional 2 minute notch on the timer?

    Interesting how they separate cycles for "Delicate Fabricx" (slow agitation) and "Fragile Fabrics" (extra-slow agitation). Aren't "delicate" and "fragile" synonyms?

    1960-ish Kenmore Dryer

    I once had a childhood friend who had the washer counterpart to that model. I loved the colors on the cycle display panel. I've recently received a owner's manual of that model on eBay!
