I have a old westinghouse it has the large old style compressor they used in the 1950`s friges,it still works

now days its society says Chuck you remove the alumimum copper coils they are worth $$$$ at a salvage yard

that is a Marquett battey charger timer when I had the dryer back in the late 1980s the automatic drying feature didnt work so I wired in the battery charger timer I bought from work ,later on I replaced the brush in the drum that works the sensor then it worked right

people disapointed in modern appliances I have a buddy that had a neptune set & he knows other with problems with them ,I find it better to keep a older washer running ,they actually take less maintence than you think the old westy I have works well for little i had to do to it

many mobil homes & apartments they used them widely ,Cantebuty Green apartments in Fort wayne Indiana had them ,when I worked at a local motor shop we got many motors from them to fix ,then years later when they junked them I got some extra parts to keep mine running,herea a pic of me changing...

check out the amish they repair sell & comvert many to gasoline power or have a horse turn a wheel to power it ,I live near Berne & Grabill Indiana where they do this in several shops

well made machine I used it since 1987 I was told it is from the 1960`s ,had no major trouble with it

yes a GE if you look at the clutch its one that I ised on my first homemade gocart ,then later used a oil filled clutch from a Speed Queen

they are giving a lot for scrap you can almost get as much for scrap as you can sell things for at used prices ,kinda sad for collectors

would be cool to see vintage washers used in magic routines .my westy seem to do coin vanishes but,makes them appear in the pump LOL
