Do you find everything sufficiently rinsed...? I was skeptical about the rinsing at first... So I did a little test... a giant load of towels! I let it run all the way through the cycle, then set it for a deep fill rinse. The water was sparkling clear and not a bubble in sight. Good enough for me!

Not every topload washer from Whirlpool is belt driven. The higher end machines (4.8 cubic feet and above) for topload laundry are BPM (direct) driven machines with a planetary drive. No belt in sight. It's sort of a combination of the old floating basket Oasis machines and the VMW system.

Generally dryers in the US have a over temp sensor set to 190F. If the temperature gets at or above that temp, the element or burner will shut off and will not turn back on again until the over temp sensor is replaced. If it gets that hot, something is usually wrong.
