    Mark This is a G1, the first Gyramatic. 1948-9 not quite sure yet. The boot is unlike any other Bendix but Jeff and I think we've found a good solution to that !

    Beatrice Bendix IS up on blocks in the CC Laundry Lab. MMO Is working its magic on the transmission unfreezing it. The bearings feel good!! This machine was just left for a new Maytag upstairs, so it was working the day it was abandoned.

    Permanent Press Cooldown That Fills While Agitating

    I remember our 1970 Imperial stated in the owners manual that during PP Cool down the machine would agitate/drain to keep the clothes moving so that creasing was minimized. That was the whole point of cooling down the wash water in stages.

    Or Before applying epoxy, coat the original screw with teflon lube in paste form not spray and kind of screw it down against the old post. As the epoxy hardens it should mold threads and you should be able to screw out the bolt. But I would definitely go the epoxy route and keep the Douglas...
