    Machine Dream!

Oh no Roger was one of the hosts of the Tucson wash-in years ago, maybe 2007? I had such a nice time meeting him and spending time at his place with all the folks and machines. So sorry to hear he’s passed away.

    1965 Kenmore 70 Coppertone Set

Locals always welcome! I’ve only fixed up machines for my neighbors once when they wanted older Maytags again. I was happy to do it for them. Always open to having a little workshop of sorts and fixing a machine together

1968 Programmed 4 Speed GE Filter Flo And Versatronic Dryer

They are an amazing find It’s crazy what is still lurking out there. I love when we can save these machines from an otherwise unfortunate future. They are no different than classic cars to me. Some deserve to be preserved as an important part of Americana.

1968 Programmed 4 Speed GE Filter Flo And Versatronic Dryer

This is why… A toddler in the early 1980’s would strip naked just run his grandmother’s ‘69 FilterFlo! Compared to our 80 series belt drive with the DA agitator, the GE was hands down a showstopper!

    1965 Kenmore 70 Coppertone Set

Thanks! John L: the panel backlit areas are actually glass. The pieces are there but at some point it was broken. I noticed a crack had formed on the water level glass panel as well. But if you have it then I’d be so happy to get it! You are welcome to visit and stay anytime!

    1965 Kenmore 70 Coppertone Set

Thanks to a slight nudge from John L., I was coaxed into saving these machines. These are my first coppertone appliances. An elderly lady purchased these in June of 1965 and they remained in the same home until today. She passed away a few months ago so her granddaughter is struggling with...

Beautiful find Glad you got these! Honestly, had I seen that link for eBay, I’d have snagged them. They are a unicorn. I keep crossing my fingers for a Versatronic set. I’m always curious about the history behind such well-preserved machines such as these. All of my GE washer came to me as...
