    1967 Whirlpool Washer

This washer was located in Spokane which is about 5 1/2 hours of driving from where I live in the Portland area. The guy selling it bought a “time-capsule” home from a 105 year-old lady who built the home and lived in it since the 1940’s. This washer was gently used by her all of the years since...

1968 RCA Whirlpool washer in Spokane

I was hoping someone would save this washer… …so I wouldn’t. Just shows what a sucker I am. New thread in the vintage washer section.

What is wrong with this BD Kenmore?

Weak spring My 75’ Lady K had the same issue. I swapped out the transmission when I did the tear down and rebuild. Saved the old transmission with plans to rebuild it and replace the weak spring in case I need a good one later on.

    FOUND 1972 GE Filter Flo

Great washer! My favorite color too! I’ve got a number of GEs now. Closest one of mine to this one is the ‘76 Dispensall. My 1970 GE is more of a hangover from the previous few years. This washer has a pretty large capacity and the agitator does very well in my opinion. Slow shifting of the...

WP Belt drive spin clutch/tube question/issue

I just had the opposite problem Your clutch needs to be adjusted down a bit. There is a nut underneath the yoke that will adjust the yoke up or down. I believe yours is too high and not allowing enough slipping and causing the motor to work too hard. I would try bringing the yoke down a little...

1976 Kenmore Washer Running but outer tub rusted and leaking...

Wish I was closer I’d love to save the machine. I’ve rebuilt a couple of these now and they’re fun machines. If there’s no luck saving it then I’d be interested in some parts at least.

    Miscellaneous Parts Available

Bigalsf No problem! I misunderstood. One will pop up eventually. My problem is that a machine that has the tub I’d need is probably a machine worth saving so I never end up donating the parts to my others haha

Maytag DG606 Prematurely shuts down despite incomplete drying

Maranoman Nice collection! I’d love to grab a goldenrod DE806 to match my 1970 806 washer if you ever decide to part with one.
