I think the model Cabrio / Bravo with direct drive motor is more efficient to have a strong rotation and recirculation that helps to wet the clothes and dilute the soap.

I have a Maytag EpicZ (Brastemp Duet) for over a year and love it. I never had problems and the cycles are versatile. The sppining balance is also effective and very fast.

Interesting.. My Maytag EpicZ has pre-wash function, but in fact is the function soak and non a adicional pre-wash before washing.
