The plunger looking thingie is probably connected to the timer so that the church could start the machine without using coins... It probably just pushed the timer into the starting position, as it would when they dropped a coin and turned the knob...

My first guess is the gasket between the outer tub and the top of the machine... . Also watch the pump... I learned from my coin-op GE's that the pumps would work fine during agitate, but the 'weep hole' would spray water when the machine reversed for spinning... . If the water is coming from...

I think that is the dryer I have in storage...

PP & K IICR, the only difference between PP and Knit cycles is that Knit alternates soak/agitate every other timer increment... While PP is all agitation... The amount of water used for the cooldown is obscene... . On my WIA, all the fabric setting on the Perm Press left side have slow spin...

The lint pan in the test, does it have a gutter of sorts around the outer rim? If so, it may be protecting the collected lint from the sifting power of the agitation... Do you have a gutter-less FF pan?
