Who ever watched the movie "Home alone"?

Post# 561554, Reply# 13 12/6/2011 at 17:32 by whirlykenmor Nick, your Kenmore pair is beautiful! I am wondering, do I see a opening panel below the dryer door? I did not know the top-mount lint screen 29" Whirlpool-made dryers had that???

    Laundry Room Progress

Stunning Job, Andrew! You sure have a flair for design, that laundry room is TO DIE FOR! I sure like that you were aware that installing a whole-house water softener was a great idea! I also like that you have the same Persil Universal Gel green detergent that I do! I also have the blue Color...

Frigidaire 2 Way Tumble Dryer and/or matching front load washer for sale

Wow Mike! I do not see ANY reference to any or "constant" reversing-tumble in the big Miele dryers at all in my extensive brochures! I had to call Miele to ask them about the reversing. They told me that the smaller dryers constantly reverse during the dry cycle(for years I know), but the...

    Speed Queens experts question

Freddy, How did you get those appliances? I am quite surprised that you'd find BIG US appliances there in Italy! A gas dryer is quite unusual for over there, no? I never saw the Speed Queen dryer with the door-grating, ever! I like the "deep-well" lint filter much better.

    shopping in currys

Commercial machines & Logixx's Bauknecht, etc. We have few laundrettes here that use Milnor washers(they are made in Louisiana), as they are not energy-efficient. We have many laundries that use horrible, slow-spinning Dexter machines! We do have places that use Primus & Ipso machines, they...

Miele 3033 or top-end Electrolux or Samsung

Hi Bud! I would very much like to visit Alberta sometime, I've been to BC, ON, QC and NB. I definitely would like to meet you, and also a nice You Tube & Facebook new friend. I don't mean to imply you're a "know-it-all" guy, but you do have an admirable wealth of knowledge like me! To meet...

Miele 3033 or top-end Electrolux or Samsung

Post# 561004, Reply# 39 12/3/2011 at 15:24 by mikepaquette Mike, my Samsung worked fairly well for one month after receiving it, then the machine started to skip spin cycles and/or shorten them. I called Samsung, and they sent two adorable young Korean guys to fix my mother board, which was...

    Tiny Haier automatic washer

I am slightly obsessed... (: I have been fascinated by washers & dryers since I was 2 years of age. Plus, fortunately, I had the BEST wonderful parents who never said "boo" to any of our "fetishes"! As a matter of fact, my beloved dad used to buy me "almost every" toy washer there was...

Frigidaire 2 Way Tumble Dryer and/or matching front load washer for sale

Reversing... Mike, Which Whirlpool dryers reverse??? The big Miele only reverses at the very end of the drying cycle, so that's basically worthless, at least for me. It is not highly-rated either, and is way too expensive. I love my 1998 Miele Redstar vacuum immensely!

    Returned the Speed Queen

Post# 560923, Reply# 21 12/3/2011 at 08:27 by Pulltostart Lawrence, I would not rush-out to buy a SQ dryer, just because it matches, that is foolish! Go with one of those nice, top-line 27" front-filter, side-swing door Maytag conventional dryers, or a new-style Whirlpool Duet(if you wish...

Frigidaire 2 Way Tumble Dryer and/or matching front load washer for sale

Post# 561504, Reply# 8 12/6/2011 at 12:27 by DWLaurie Hi Dan, I am trying to find a reliable reverse-tumble new dryer when and if my current 22-year-old gas Lady Kenmore quits(HOPEFULLY NEVER!) They are very hard to come by. I will not buy a GE or F&P-they do have reverse-tumble dryers...

    shopping in currys

The size of machines available If someone's not so concerned with the size of the washer or dryer's cabinet, then get one the way they are sold in the USA. Both front and top-load HE washers here are taller and deeper than usual. My machine's in the basement, so it doesn't matter the height...

    Pushed into Medium Spin Speed....

Live in the "Fast Lane"! Pierre, my Samsung ramps-up to the max 1300RPM during intermediate spins, then "bloops" and comes to a normal speed tumble. The final spin continues until the machine just starts slowing-down without that "bloop". Sometimes my machine ends the final spin two minutes...

Had to buy Non USA made

Too bad, so sad... I totally agree with having to deal with buying non-USA or Canadian-made things today. It truly saddened me to have to buy my expensive Samsung washer, but it is of high quality and I am pretty satisfied with it. There was simply no other "affordable" alternative for me, and...

What are we looking at here?

"Blocking" people... Pronto, Federico! I totally agree about many You Tube users. I have been blocked by several of my "former friends", even one I met in NYC from The Netherlands! We couldn't be better friends despite the distance! What is up with these seemingly paranoid people? I try...

    Skeletons in my Closet!

CHINA? AARGH! I am so sick of seeing everything made in the United States of China! Thanks to bureaucratic, money-hungry unions, the USA is no longer competitive.
