    Selling my Creda Tumble Dryer

Dream World?! Plenty of older machines sell for this (and more) on eBay. There are many factors that determine how much an item sells for. It's no wonder this site has so many arguments - I feel the comment 'are you living in a dream world' is totally uncalled for. People need to learn how to...

    LG 11KG update

Small Reliable Machines.... That's obviously the reason the more reliable brands of washing machine don't go over 8 or 9kg for their drum capacities. Zanussi & Miele have a maximum size of 8kg & AEG have 9kg - in that standard size cabinet there just isn't enough room for anything more. I...

    Miele W5740

Good Move! If you can get the same warranty on a cheaper machine & the cheaper machine suits your needs then it's a no brainer to save £170 i think. Always nice to feel like you've got a sweetener thrown into the deal, too! Liam PS - Apologies for blank post above. This website appears to be...

Dunno..... Thought i saw some recent ones with Made in Britain on them. Might be wrong though. I knew White Knight's washers & dishwashers were made elsewhere but thought Lec stuff was still British-Made. I won't be getting one if they're actually a Haier, that's for sure. Will have to have...

    Very Cheap Supermarket Branded Washer

I don't see the point..... Unless it's actually going to last as long as a Beko or Indesit (circa 3 years) then i think the environmental brigade should kick-off. Given how we're told repeatedly to respect the planet i think it's disgraceful that someone may throw out a repairable older...

Not Happy..... I'd not be happy with buying a Chinese (or even Korean) made appliance given the current global situation. So much of the products we buy are made in China (Clothes, TV's, Kitchen appliances) & it doesn't sit comfortably with me to buy so much from one Country, especially given...

Zanussi Origins..... As aeg03 said, it's predominantly the ZWG1140M Zanussi machine (see link below) that's manufactured outside of the EU & i don't think it's badged as Flexi-Dose. It seems to be a well-performing machine too, from what owners reviews say. I wasn't aware that any other...

Zanussi..... If you're spending under £300 then i'd probably have a Zanussi. I certainly wouldn't be getting a Hoover. Their older Nextra's and related Candy's (badged as Activa Smart) were ok but the Hoover Dynamic, Vision HD & Optima and Candy Grand O's are far from floorless. Many owner...

    Our new Zanussi ZWG7160P

Easy write-off Thinking about it i'd imagine it'd make replacing something like the bearings (and possibly pump) even more expensive now everything is one-piece. I bet the cost of a replacement tub with bearings and pump included could be eye-watering. It can't offer anything massively...

Bearings - How Long Have We Got?

Retired! After spinning the drum by hand last night & it sounding like it was spinning on gravel we decided not to delay things & we got the Essential in from the garage this morning at 8am to let it climatise after being in the freezing garage - the water in the dryer condensor tank was frozen...

Bearings - How Long Have We Got?

Cheers Rob I was leaning towards thinking there was probably no set time-frame for them failing completely once they've started to rumble but thought i'd ask incase anyone knew differently - i'm not very mechanical & we've never had bearing failure on a washer before, which is hard to believe...

Bearings - How Long Have We Got?

The Zanussi Turbodry 1000 (WDA 1055W) that we have in the house we've been renting for 18 months has been making a 'wowwwww' noise intermittently during tumbling since just before Christmas & the drum sounded abit corse when turning it by hand, but i couldn't detect any unusual movement in the...

    Mum's new machines!

No Jet :( Shame. That'd put me off quite abit. Lets hope it makes up for this in other ways - looking forward to the vids! Liam

...and my new Zanussi washer is here!

...... I can't answer where it's made unfortunately but you can rule out the Far East by seeing if it has a Made in EU sticker inside the door like many Zanussi washers do. The previous generation machines were Italy, Spain & Poland i think. The Inverter Motors do sound good - amazing that...

    Our new Zanussi ZWG7160P

Type of load? Might just be the load type (thin bedding with the odd heavy towel) fooling the sensors. Zanussis havn't done much balancing in the past but maybe that's why the bearings on the newer ones havn't lasted. Keep an eye on it but perhaps it's just the new spin procedure that's...

    Our new Zanussi ZWG7160P

Good Prices.... The prices of the Zanussis are quite amazing. I worry that it's because they're gonna fall apart after 18 months, but then Hoover/Candy & some Hotpoint & Whirlpool machines do that and they can be a fair bit more expensive than Zanussi so i guess Zanussi still represent good...

    Mum's new machines!

Niiiiice...... Love the drum design & the really clean lines of the control panels, really marks them out as more upmarket to the Zanussis. Would be suprised if the machines were made in Thailand but i guess Darren will be able to confirm whether the machines say 'Made in EU' or not. Nearly...

    Indesit Prestige Line OMEGA 1000

Thermal Shock.... Maybe the warm rinses with 'Hand Wash' is to prevent thermal shock to the delicate items likely to be washed with Hand Wash selected? I guess if you were washing by hand then many people rinse using warm water too, so it kind of makes sence. Liam
