    Hobart KitchenAid Coffee Mill KCM

Thanks Jeff! It's a hard site to navigate through. Nothing vintage came up. Any of our own members ever taken one of these apart? Bobby in Boston

    Hobart KitchenAid Coffee Mill KCM

Who is our resident expert in taking these apart and assembling and adjusting them properly? I got a neat one in mint condition in Harvest gold, but it was obviously taken apart and re-assembled incorrectly. The grind selector on the bottom is way too low so the feet barely touch the counter...

    FOCA detergent

Foca is great stuff, but a guaranteed sudzlock! Be sure to select the automatic extra rinse, if your machine has that feature. Bobby in Boston

    A Vintage Scent Revived

I picked up a quart of Octagon dish detergent recently just for nostalgia. It smells just the same and years ago. Love it, and won't go back to Ajax. Didja notice over the years Ajax never went up in price but the ounces decreased? They made the bottle skinnier. Now the price is creeping up...

Out with the old and in with the older.......

Are those newer generation KD's any good in comparison with the Hobart KD's? My left brow is raised, as I'm skeptical. Bobby in Boston

    Batch Feed or Continuous?

Better is whatever you get used to. I always had a continuous feed Hobart KitchenAid in NY, but when I moved to Boston I had to get a batch feed just because of the electrics. I got an ISE 17 and it was wonderful. I replaced it a couple years ago with a Viking batch feed. It's a Hobart made...

Starting to evaluate the Terq 741c and I've a question for the gallery...

Nice terq HOH. Our DG700 (white, mint) always had the little bulb. I had no idea what it was for. Shame my dear mom let the Sears people take it away when she got her new pair a few years ago. The thermo coupler goes every 10 years or so on the HOH's. You may want to get one to have on hand...

    Maytag 712 set

The pair is still for sale. They need to be out by Tuesday. It's posted on craiglist again today. Scott, I vaguely remember the thread you are talking about. It's probably safe to say this is the older, helical drive tranny with the turquoise agitator. Bobby in Boston

    Maytag 712 set

I know someone was looking to find a 712 set. I can't remember who it was. Worth checking out. Bobby in Boston http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/app/1579159537.html

    Finish goes Phosphate-Free

Just guessing, but they must be changing over in New England also. My store brands are now suddenly phosphate-free. I stocked up. Does Chemistry store sell smaller quantities than 50 lbs.? Bobby in Boston

    Thought I'd let everyone see

The Congregational Church of Needham, Massachusetts This is my little church where I am organist and choir director. It's a Casavant organ from 1997, 40 rks, 3 manuals. I don't have a console picture at hand. Bobby in Boston

    Thought I'd let everyone see

Joe: Neat console picture. Can we hijack your thread so all the organists can post? How many of us are there? What year is the Moller? What church? I'll post a pic of our Casavant. Catastrovant, as we call it in Boston. Bobby in Boston

REBIRTH OF THE 1965 CUSTOM IMPERIAL

What a wonderful job you are doing Pete! You have given me the inspiration to get the 1-18 going. That should be a cake walk compared to your turquoise labor of love. Congrats! Bobby in Boston

    General Electric 1-18!

This weekend I plan to tackle the sump. If I take all the hoses off the sump, what can I do to make sure they don't leak when they are put back on? I'll be sure to take pics. Bobby in Boston
