I have turned on my 1990's Frigidare for the first time this year Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as I want meat locker temps in my bedroom to sleep Now,.Storms dropped the temps and it is only 66 now.
My mother ordered the same model from Sears, On Sale, and it took about a month to be delivered, but it showed the same wear later on but still worked fine. The filter was always a pain to clean.
For all of my 70 years, I always wanted a Pepsi for soda. You can prefer what you want to drink, I dont care, although, I rarely drink soda now. Never liked Dr. Pepper.
The Ultra=Ray broiler was the best I have seen. Friends had a gas similar model in coppertone but unfortunate;y was destroyed in a house fire, not caused by the stove.
I have an LDE410 of the same vintage and have never had a single repair in 40 years. The matching 511 washer has only had one $28 part in all those years. They both look and run just like they did new out of the box.
True Ken, everyone jumped on that bandwagon years ago when every laundry product was labeled "Heavy Duty". Honestly, they were more a heavy duty product to the crap sold now.
I had a similar later GE in a camp I bought. It worked fine but capacity was much less than needed. Freezer barely held an ice cube tray. Bought a Coldspot spacemaster and space was solved. I vote NO as my regular fridge.
I replaced the foam on my Bose speakers several years ago with help from Simply Speakers in Florida. They were very helpful and prompt. My neighbor was so impressed with the sound he did the same for his Advent speakers.
Hi Michael, I have a couple neighbors with those invisible fences and their dogs never go thru them unless the battery in their collar dies. Many years ago I had a similar looking beautiful Great Dane/Doberman that was super smart. He never had to be tied and knew his boundaries. I dont have any...
I have a neighbor who just turned 96 and her satellite provider now will require her to get paperless statements and auto pay or get charged extra for their bill. Obviously, she is not computer literate and still uses a landline. I think it is totally unfair that she should pay extra because...
My aunt had the same AMP that ran perfectly until she ended up in Assisted Living and let it go with her place when it was sold. I tried to get the lid up a half inch to see it agitating but it always stopped when I was a kid. But my '84 511 Maytag sounds the same as that one did, same clunk to...
Years ago, when I was on city gas, my stove did the same thing. Problem was that everyone used their gas at the same time to make dinner and pressure dropped. After switching to propane I never had that ever happen again.
John, I found the sales slip and I bought it 6 years ago now. It cost me $499. My next door neighbors replaced theirs with one like mine last summer and they paid $900. Wow, how the price really jumped.
