Sneak peek at the New Candy tumble dryer range

Dex, I agree, quality is not just about the touch and feel. It does have an impact though in terms of showroom appeal. Something which feels solid may well fall apart six months down the line, or the internals might be rubbish, while something that feels less solid might be fine for years... it...

How to remove a drum from a Hotpoint 9524?

IIRC it is not too complicated, provided you have necessary tools. I've never done it, but there are various guides around, both on here and on the web in general. Just a quick google search brings up various tutorials on how to do it. Just a tip though - it might be a good idea for you to keep...

Sneak peek at the New Candy tumble dryer range

I haven't used one with the collection chamber in the door, but I find the drawer type ones nicely convenient... Especially if it needs to be emptied part way through a cycle, you can do it without getting a face full of steam from the half dried laundry :) Having said that, last time I looked...

    Hotpoint 9524 (UPDATE PLEASE HELP)

You may have to be patient to find a fascia, unless there is someone specifically parting a machine out. There's not such a good supply of them as there is motors etc. Also, you've started several threads about this and left them blank.

The day of the new dryer

They look quite decent when I've seen them in the shops, and feel better made than some of the other ones. I wonder, does the sensor have adjustment based on water hardness? If the sensor goes funny again, it could be due to that, I guess Be interesting to hear how it does after a couple of...

I think the hotpoint is on it's last legs

And by the way... In case you didn't know, posting in all caps is considered to be shouting, and impolite. It doesn't really send a good impression.

I think the hotpoint is on it's last legs

Jacob... I think what is annoying people here is your attitude. Not only did you dig something up from the past, but you are now trying to lecture people and demand that they stop talking about it. It didn't need to be discussed, and is only being discussed because of YOUR action in posting...

I think the hotpoint is on it's last legs

Jacob, I could be wrong, but I don't think highlighting a message posted 4.5 years ago is really helpful here. Yes, sometimes Rob can be a bit abrupt in his messages, but he hasn't posted things like that any time recently as far as I've seen. It's just a matter of courtesy to other forum...

    Hotpoint VTD20 Banging

My non-reversing BSH dryer doesn't tangle much at all. Only the occasional instance of bedding rolling up in a ball, and to be honest nothing worse than the previous Electrolux dryer which did reverse.

A new addition will be placed into my fleet :)

I don't post in here much, but I still pop by and read even if I'm not posting. I've been getting quite frustrated with the number of nonsensical threads appearing - like this one, unnecessary 'cause there was already at least one open about it. Or the one with a load of pictures from shops -...

    AEG Protex - welded tub?

Chinese? Not as far as I've seen. They may contain parts made in China, but I've seen one that said Made in EU on it - I don't recall if it was specific on country.

Why post another new thread about this, when you already had one for it?

    UK News Story

Beko... Actually, the Beko recall was on appliances built between 2000 and 2006. Some of the current model numbers are the same, but are not affected according to information. This recall info has been posted in all the national press, as far as I know, which given the numbers involved was the...

Paul - haha! Sure, nice to know other people nearby! Been around here for ages, but mostly read rather than posting.

is there a maintenance cyle on zanussi zwf 1630W

paulc - just outside Edinburgh... jetsystem1200 - I would say no, you don't really need to do one in that case. The ones you do at 60 should be enough to make sure there's no problem :) I do the opposite - I *never* use fabric softener on towels 'cause I hate how it makes them soak up less...

What appliance manufactures are made in uk?

UltimaFan, if you read ... ... I believe it's just vacuum cleaners that Miele manufacture in China and have done for some time. Most, if not all, laundry products for sale in Europe are manufactured in Germany or Czech Republic. They are legally not allowed to state "Made in Germany" if the...

is there a maintenance cyle on zanussi zwf 1630W

As ronhic says, you won't really need to do one unless you do almost all your laundry at cold or 30, or use an awful lot of liquids and fabric softener. The odd occasion I've felt the need to do one (rather than just a quick rinse out after washing animal bedding to get rid of pet hair), I tend...
