I am normally a powder fan (Surf or Person bio ) but I have started to use Ludlow own brand colour care liquid for all the school uniforms. Seems to work reasonably well so far without colour fading but we shall see. It also means I can dose up the Whirlpool top loader at the start and let it run.

If I remember rightly (please anyone correct me if otherwise), there is a tachograph coil on the back of the motor which can come loose. This needs putting back on as it relays information back to the module to adjust motor speed.

I had an FL1021 (I think that was the model number) which was a 1000spin version of what you have. The drum will have a little forward and backwards movement. As long as there is no rumbling or grinding when the drum turns I would think that there is nothing to worry about. Fantastic machines...
