Beautiful 1949/1954 Modern Home for Sale

The exterior was totally not what I was expecting, the interior is just a dream. I LOVE the kitchen and the wonderful bath fixtures. The whole house is just great! Not a bad price for all you get, but your property taxes are astronomical!

On another Cell Phone topic- How often do you use your cell phone?

I have an IPhone and probably don't use the phone part more than once a week. I think I have 400 minutes a month and about 4,000 in my rollover minutes (the boy in the commercial would be mortified about my old minutes LOL). I always wished I could transfer them to my former co-worker who has 4...

Results of the Cash for Clunkers Program

That's insane. If you can afford most of those cars, you don't need $4500 from the govt. Not to mention as was said earlier someone surely would have circumvented the standard clunker procedure, which I think was at best flawed to begin with. I overheard some woman on the bus talking about not...

What I like about Circulon bakeware: The Blasted Chicken Torture Test

The chicken looks and sounds wonderful, and I'm so glad the pan works and cleans up well for it. But, what does your oven look llike after making the chicken? Do you have to take the Easy Off after it to get it clean? :)

Vintage China in dishwasher, yes or no?

This may not apply to Polkanut if his china belonged to his grandparents, but would there have been a timeframe afterwhich china manufacturers would have "built in" the possibility that their product would be machine washed? I have some from the early 60s that was my mom's, which was always...

    Saeco Electric Kettle

Looks like a wonderful kettle, and very fast! I'll have to keep watch for this one. Has a lot of features I want on my next one, such as being able to keep the water warm. The different temps are really interesting too!

    This machine has the "Golbloots"

Yeah, it almost looks more like a John Deere green, but I guess you wouldn't know for sure unless you saw it in person in or in a different light.

Introducing... the 1968 WP Imperial MK Xll dryer with the "station wagon tailgate" door!

Glenn I just noticed something interesting-John's dryer's drum has the "fins" that are "molded" into the metal, where Kevin's appears to have the ones more like we know today. Perhaps it was about that time they switched the style from one to the other?

Introducing... the 1968 WP Imperial MK Xll dryer with the "station wagon tailgate" door!

Wow, who knew? Very cool. I guess they figured since they had the station wagon wood, they may as well do a station wagon door! LOL I think that was about the time those 2 way station wagon doors first became popular.

BOL? Maybe but they still are nice...

70, I'm betting this model from the 60s probably did have a black agitator. I think those were probably gone by the early 70s or so.

    KA108

Very nice, but.... what does the "K" stand for? I've noticed recently people saying "CA" and now "KA" etc. From what I remembered it was A (automatic I assume) 106, etc. and the dryers were DE (electric) or DG (gas). Apparently bleach dispensers spread further down the line as the years went...
