    Sandy The town I am from had a jewelry store that did brisk business selling high end tableware up through the early 90's. Many people here still have sets of Denby/Langley etc. I don't know anyone who has Midwinter. My family still has several sets of Denby- you can't wear the stuff out.

    Re the tableware Sandy- thanks for the compliment, wish I could claim I was some whiz at identifying tableware...but call it a lucky guess. The cup/saucer and sugar bowl just made me think Denby.

    Re the tableware It's not Mikasa....it's Langley Sherwood from England. Langley at some point became part of Denby. http://www.replacements.com/webquote/DENSHE.htm
