Siemens WD12D523GB Washer Dryer

@tom I hope you enjoy it when you get it. I think my machine is made in Span, its side panels are the same as the Bosch WAA range made be Balay. Is there any definitive way of finding out? @dj-gabriele Apart from the Bosch equivalent models, I don't think any other BSH machines have metal...

    Siemens WD12D523GB Washer Dryer

Hi Tom, I should of added the touch buttons to the bad list. The ones under the display can have a mid of their own, and not register a touch or cycle through the options as if you have pressed them multiple times! The touch controls were a bad point made by Which was well. Apparently other...

    Siemens WD12D523GB Washer Dryer

    Good points so far:

It weights a tonne, so it doesn't move around.

The detergent draw removes all traces of detergent 99% of the time.

The suspension seems very good, it is quiet and the drum doesn't bounce around like what the Hoover did.
...

    Miele Novotronic Super w937

I don't think their dryers are made in Germany, looking through last years Siemens brochure, none of the dryers have "Made in Germany" on their facias.

    Who owns who???

@tom: I did make some videos but my Internet connection keeps aborting :-( I'll do some pics when I tidy the kitchen up!

    Who owns who???

Apparently Siemens machines will have more metal components, higher rated motors etc. in them then the equivalent Bosch models. However, apart from the Fascia, Door and programme options my Siemens IQ300 Washer Dryer seems to be more or less the same as the Bosch Exxcel model.

P&G Fairy Dishwasher Tablets - way too foamy ?

They used to foam up in our Tabletop Matsui, but it would die down at the end of the wash cycle.

    HOOVER OPH714 D

On the Hoover I had, you could change the temp of the A59 wash. The only caveat was that the recommended load was 3kg.

@fl1012 About Merthyr: One criticism there was with Candy was that all components for the machines made there were sourced from ether Italy or Spain, rather then from local suppliers, potentially adding extra cost. We have a Nissan car factory near us and they use the Just In Time principle for...

I need help , your comments count

Siemens We got our Hoover exchanged for a Siemens WD12D523GB washer dryer and while most of it seems pretty well put together, the worktop is loose. The other day, I had a look in John Lewis and most, if not all of the Siemens machines had a loose worktop while the Bosch examples didnt , very...

Applainces used for Home Ecomomics in your School & Educational Institutions

@nrones The Baby Belling is a small tabletop cooker with 2 hob elements and a small oven. Most of the examples I can remember were mounted on a moveable stand so they could be moved to each classroom as required. http://www.belling.co.uk/baby-belling/baby-belling-321r/

Applainces used for Home Ecomomics in your School & Educational Institutions

I can remember my First School had a grey Hoovermatic twin tub, in Middle School they had late 80's Brown/White Hotpoint that was replaced with a Candy around 2000/2001 when the School was refurbished. I can't remember what they had at High School. All 3 schools I went to had at least one Baby...

    My Computer Died

I had a sticky enter key on my model M keyboard, probably caused by me accidently washing off the grease that coated the metal spokes. The grease can dry out as well, which could be what’s causing the issue with your keyboard.

    Haier ? Bosch?

A while ago I was looking on a Chinese wholesale website and they had a vast array of Washers and Washer Dryers that had in the description "Machine uses Italian Merloni Technology"!

The water where I live is borderline soft/medium. I don't use Calgon as soap powder (well Ariel and Persil at least) already has the anti limescale agents in it.
