Push button something or other washer San Diego

Bob: I hear you about yellowed plastic on white-on-white appliances! For me, the perfect modern-day combination, where plastic must be used for cost reasons, was black handles, etc., on white. I know a lot of people feel it's a dated look now, but at least the trim didn't yellow.

KitchenAid KDS 18 Superba by Hobart - need to sell

Steve: "I didn't stay around long enough to hear the comeback!" There is a mysterious warming trend in much of the country....

    Sunbeam MixMaster Repair

Your Mixmaster: Is a Model MMA or MMB, known to collectors as a "Plasticmaster," because its outer shell is plastic instead of the cast metal of earlier models. MM-series mixers are good mixers. However, because they're both recent and very plentiful, they're not economical to repair; you can...

Range Hood w/Sensi-Temp Control: Ni-yuss! The combination of that hood (with its correct cooktop) and an early JK29 in Yellow would be quite something!

'How Dry I Am' Music Box press release pic from W now on ebay

William Wasemann: Appears to have passed away prior to 2000; I found a discussion group post referring to his death. One of his twin sons, Michael, passed away in 2010. I wasn't able to find much more, with the exception of patent applications, which are very numerous.

    GE - CL finds

Jeff: I'm thinking that those differences are from one year to the next - say, 1965 vs. 1966, or similar. GE's trim differences were from model to model, and those two ovens seem to have the same equipment, meaning they were not different models.

    GE - CL finds

Jeff: They're very similar, but the clock and meat thermometer dials are different (dark on the Yellow version, light on the Turquoise), and the inserts on the oven door handles are different, too - metal-look on the Yellow one, black pebble-texture on the Turquoise. Still, I have not seen...

Nick: I gotta hand it to you on that oven - I have never seen that one before. Looks like maybe 1965, TOL conventional-clean. Does anyone know for sure?

Push button something or other washer San Diego

Bob: I agree. As much as I love the New Generation machines (particularly early ones with the blue control panels and chrome-top lint filters, etc.), I could see myself with a 712 pair. But not the 710s; those buttons are not my thang. P.S.: Here's a link to a thread where the entire 12...

Push button something or other washer San Diego

Bob: You're right, but then I'm not as "into" the 10 and 12 series as I am the New Generation machines, so I have to look and think - and sometimes fact-check - a little more when 10s and 12s are under discussion. For me, that snazzy water level control is the clincher. I also have a...

Push button something or other washer San Diego

Tim: I looked again, and you're right - that's the TOL machine, an A710. I missed the presence of the infinite water level control to the left of the pushbutton arrays.

Push button something or other washer San Diego

Maytag: Late '70s/early '80s 10-Series, pretty far up in the line, but not yet a collector's dream.

    GE - CL finds

Tom: That bird looks to be upwards of 20 pounds. So far as the placement of the range is concerned, it's all about product photography, not actual use. A photo of a range built into the middle of a run of cabinets diminishes the range's presence. Putting it at the end of a run gives the...

RARE!!! Frigidaire Fold Back Surface Units!!

I'd Be Interested.... ....To hear from owners of these units regarding their cleanability. Every time I see these things, I have a vision of fried chicken or bacon spatters covering every exposed atom of their surface, with lots of time, lots of Job-like patience and a powerful degreaser...

New Tide Ad Stars Gay Couple

Phil: Remember that the shots I posted are also professional product photography - styled, lit and retouched to bring out detail. A Craigslist photo shot with someone's camera phone just can't do that. BTW, do you love the way the oven's propped on the Spacemaker 30, with that...

Washer in Reply # 27: That's on a farm somewhere outside Ames, with well water that has a high iron content. You see that in the boonies here.
