I've noticed on "Martha Bakes" that KitchenAid appliances such as mixers and maybe dishwashers have their brand labels covered with tape. If I recall correctly the labels weren't covered a few years back. I wonder what changed?

Just guessing here, but I assume it was similar to the fluid drive in a Speed Queen, for spin only with one directional motor. Seems like all the car companies were in the appliance game too.
