I still miss our old potscrubber. Wasn't as fancy as those though, ours had the timer dial you actually turn and the options were Potscrubber|Normal Wash Heated Dry|Evergy Saver. Though, it did have a "light wash" option that you could turn the timer to.

Water Temperatures Would cooled-down water temps be causing the scum issue? We always use warm rinses with our DD and the inner and outer tub have remained spotless after all these years.

Another thing I can never understand is the whole suspension system where it's like "I know, lets hang the tub from the top instead of actually supporting from the bottom!" however, if someone could explain to me the possible benefits of doing it that way, i'd be interested in hearing them...

DD Machines There was one time where the machine was not balanced right and during spin the tub was literaly smacking the cabinet all around, I think this has happened twice. We of course stopped it and fixed it, and even after all that, that bad boy still runs today.

Tub/Spanner Nut Getting to this part is not difficult. All you have to do is remove the agitator (you can find many vids on that) and then you should see it. Loosening or tightening the nut requires a spanner wrench.

you say turing the the agitator clockwise fixes it? That sounds like maybe it is a loose tub nut, but I cant say I am fully sure, I haven't heard of a problem like that before. But when you say "catches" do you mean you get that usual CLUNK from the transmission?

The only way I could see them possibly making them again is if the treehugger regulations some day back fire, or something else alone those lines.... You may say I am being overly optimistic, but anything is possible. Our 22 year old transmission still works exactly as it should, I'd love to...

Hot Water Restrictor Couldn't you also buy another water valve that doesn't have the resctrictor? (yes I know this is not a free alternative)

Question Why is it that a lot of these machine's suspension systems are always hanging the machine tub from the top instead of just supporting from the bottom like on DD machines, Speed Queens, older Maytags, you get the idea.

You have yourself some very reliable machines! For your washer, Just be sure of what speed to use depending on your fabrics and you will have no problems with wear on clothes. ;)

Silverware Basket In The Door When I first saw that design when I looked around my bro's house before we moved anything in, I myself was skeptical of them getting cleaned properly, but after it's first use, I was proven wrong, it did a great job!

We still have the protective coating on. There is still some work (though minor) being down in that room in that room and just wanted to keep it on until everything is done.
