Well I got the new transmision in....was not too bad really.... Now tempted to go get another machine... LOL ...:D

Getting REALLY frustrating wondering if its even worth it... OK so I paid for the "new" transmision and I was hoping to get it this past friday so I could i have the weekend to put it in... Well it seem UPS claims on their tracking info that the item was damaged during shipping and handling...

Old transmision removed last night.... not too bad ... New one coming inthe mail any day now..

a google search that is... Yeah I went on ahead and just bought a new (rebuilt) one for 99 bucks plus 30 something for shipping.

They are not that hard to find really... I found mine on Ebay. He says he has several of them... Also do a search under the Man. Partnumber.

I guess what I am asking is.. How hard is it to replace the Transmsion in a Belt drive Whirlpool?

How hard is to replace one of these? I basicly have a choice here: 1. I can buy a new transmision for about 100 bucks plus 430.00 shipping OR 2. I can try to replace the spring that engages the agitation. Which would be less work?
