What year and model Kitchen Aid?

It's a KA custom...I have a hard time with the exact dates on these as I can't remember exactly the years the control panel was primarily stainless with black vs. mostly black. Would guesstimate a series 21-23. 23 series ended circa 1994/5. I think 21 series started in '84/5.

    Identify KitchenAid dishwasher from Matlock

I used to watch the original airings of Matlock in the late 80s, early 90s. That Range is an all white JennAir circa 1988-90. I have the same one in black and stainless dating to 1988 (and mine is also the less common non-downdraft type--requires a vent hood). The Dishwasher appears to be a...

What kind of cooktop is this?

I've seen these in Person, too. If I recall, the one in your pic is GE, with side mounted cartridge electrical connections vs. end mounted ones on the Similar JennAirs of that vintage. Not positive, but I *think* Whirlpool and Thermador also had something very like this, too. If I'm...

Turquoise GE Wonder Kitchen in Phoenix

Do any of you recognise the pics or the ad description? I know someone who is interested in this set, but we're not sure it's all Kosher....pics have been seen before. Thoughts?? http://https//phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/app/d/original-1955-ge-wonder/6494279656.html

SM300-301: "VERY RARE VINTAGE! ~ GE "MOBILE MAID" PORTABLE DISHWASHER ~Family Shop - $350 (AP

I cannot believe I am seeing what has been done to that poor machine. It's as blasphemous as a kegerator conversion on a nice vintage fridge.

    Fabulous 400 on the cheap

Joe, I actually like the styling of the one near you better than the pricier one here in my city....I'd part with $75 bucks for that one just to have eye candy/display piece! I wonder how impossible it might be to rebuild that one fully, if that's what it happened to need??

    Amana SxS

Newhart fridge Joe--you are right. From one font of useless info(me) to another (you)-- that is an Amana 25 just like theirs. I always liked those.....they're still plentiful out here and somehow still running (the ones I've seen, at least).

    Found a real oddity

My grandmother gave me her old one just like this...back in the early 80s. It stayed a display item in my kitchen for awhile because I HATED all the washing/cleanup involved....hahahah.

Mr Draper, your General Electric Frost Guard Refrigerator is here...

Compressor replacement options for these GE's... I have what I *think* might be the same compressor in my 1960 Combination like Louis'. And I wonder....if someone found they actually needed to replace that in one of these, what is directly compatible and fits properly in these cabinets...

    My weekend haul.

In Full agreement... That Cuisinart was a complete STEAL! I have two of them myself and will NEVER part with 'em. Almost cried when I lost my OEM box of accessory discs in a move one year. Cost me 100 bucks to replace! Heck, the disc caddy alone was worth more than you paid for the lot...

    Yet another furnace question...

I could be off base on year by a few, but seems like the energy stickers began appearing circa 1978....maybe 1980. I've got one on a 1985 SubZero fridge, and recall my dad (who was a contractor), pulling water heaters out of boxes for our 1978 build home...those stickers were present on those...

Furnace question for Easterners/Cold Country members~

additional pics... are not a possibility at this point (for those who asked). Photos posted are from a real estate agent listing of the place. This is located 2000 miles from me, so until I can actually get out there myself to view, what ya see is what ya get--sorry!

Furnace question for Easterners/Cold Country members~

True functional art... As my own membeship name here implies. I'm very drawn to details like that furnace. I could stare at it all day while down in the basement doing laundry.

    Kitchenaid KSM5 Stand Mixer

Tearing a KA mixer open isn't a daunting task at all. I've opened up 2 of mine in years gone by. Only to replace brushes, and to repack grease on front gear mind you. I'm not going to hazard a guess as to what's got your machine seized up, but it's worth at least taking the rear domed cover...
